Better than finch (ADHDer here)
I’ve had finch for 2 years but I personally found it more cute and addictive than helpful. This app is cute and has features that make you want to return without being addictive and actually helps you understand yourself while also getting important things done. It’s mainly about journaling and the characters in this app have very emotionally intelligent advice that so put so easily into words. I like that the shop doesn’t refresh new items and makes you spend your stones, making the shopping feature still enjoyable but not the main feature.

Can’t recommend Foxtale ENOUGH!!! 🦊💖
I used to use Finch but I was always wishing it was more in depth and less task/list-based. This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for, and as a psychology student I LOVE the citations provided at the end of each lesson. The Orb calendar is REALLY amazing to see because the change in my thinking patterns since starting to use Foxtale is VISIBLE based on the colors present in each orb. I don’t even notice it until I went back a month and saw the drastic changes. I shared this app with my therapist who is going to be sharing it with other clients she thinks can benefit from this. The developers have done amazing work! 🙌🏼 When I check in every day, it feels like I’m checking in with my little digital pet but also like I’m checking in with myself- something I wasn’t good at before, and didn’t make enough time for. I can’t recommend Foxtale enough!!

Been great so far.
I don’t really like journaling and have tried everything. My therapist keeps recommending that I search for something that works. I think I’ve finally found the journaling app for me. It’s interactive and fun. Keeps me interested. I gave it four stars because I’d really like to see a way to print and/or turn your journal entries into a PDF. Allowing this for other parts of the app would be great as well. I’m thinking mostly of the charts and insights. I’d also like to see a feature for allowing photos to be attached to journal entries. Maybe also have it read the Health app on the iPhone that way these highlights could be added to the journal entry.

So far really good
I’ve been using this app for about a week and so far, while it’s not actual therapy, it has been helpful with logging my emotions and helping me to look deeper into the emotions themselves. It’s helped me learn to journal to get my thoughts out and it helps remind me of the things I’m grateful for.
Love this app!
I love checking in with my little fox at the end of the day and learning new things about anxiety. It’s very sweet!
