What’s going on?
Not sure why half the functions are not working, like registering without using google or lookin log for nearby swaps after entering address.

I read some articles from a university I am attending promoting this app for student and faculty parents. The app won’t save my profile information, including my location which is required to be able to search for nearby groups. Would love to swap babysitting with other student parents, but this app is too glitchy to make it happen.

I wasn’t able to enter my birthday on the first few set-up screens, it only let me choose dates in 2021. Overall concept is very good though

You better be sure you want this app for life! Zero support for cancelling subscription. Disappointed, I was hoping to just pause the account for a bit and start back up during summer months.
So Far So Good
We've just gotten started on it, but it seems to be by FAR the best babysitting co-op option out there. The point system is fair, and creating and accepting requests seems easy. I think there could be some polishing done on all the different kind of social connections you can create (groups versus friends versus angels versus paid, etc.) and I wish the commenting had emoji support. Otherwise I'm glad to have this tool available to me!

Doesn’t work
I tried downloading the app and it freezes on the login page. I’ve tried multiple times but it just doesn’t work. Wish I could trip it.
Effortless to swap babysitting
I first downloaded Komae to swap babysitting within my MOMS Club co-op, but I love that I can also swap sits with friends outside the co-op as well, using a universal points system. The option to send the sit request only to my chosen friends or groups is great—sometimes my kids don’t click well with a friend’s kids and it’s nice to avoid the awkwardness of not choosing her to sit. 🙂
I would like the “directions” button to allow me to open in Google Maps, not Apple maps (Apple maps is awful in my region!)
I saw that another reviewer thinks the positive reviews are fake and the app is “pointless.” 🤷🏻♀️ I am a real person living in the Midwest. Komae is hugely helpful to me because I have friends who use Komae. If you don’t have friends, or if you don’t tell them about Komae, I can see how the app wouldn’t be useful to you yet.

Komae has been so helpful when I’ve needed a last minute, trusted sitter. I save so much money by swapping sits with friends, and have actually strengthened some friendships too! A++

Building relationships with Komae
I love using Komae weekly for work meetings and a few times a month for date nights. It’s so great swapping sits with my friends, growing our relationships and also the relationships my kids have with their kids! We could never afford sitting as often as we need it if this wasn’t an option!
No $$$$ Required!
I love using Komae! I can easily send out a request to all my friends for a quick response instead of texting each of them individually! My kids get to play, I become better friends with the other parents in real life & I get time alone, time for an appointment or time at my other children’s school. Best yet it doesn’t cost money! Customer service is very responsive for a quick question I had! Love it!

Responsive Creators
I’ve enjoyed using this app with friends. We are getting our village going, and it’s been slow, but exciting to watch. The concept is more successful, as you build a larger/local village.
As we’ve been using it, whenever we notice issues or glitches, or even have had ideas, I’ve emailed them to the creators and they are very responsive. Sometimes they already have the suggestion on their to-do list, or they haven’t noticed it and fix it! That’s pretty cool.

Starting to figure it out.
Just started a group last night and the idea is going over really well. The idea behind this app is genius, really hoping it does what it says it can.
From just one night Of use It is still “buggy” I have to change my wallpaper to see actual updates. And even though I have have all notifications on I’m never notified of any activity on the app. I have to constantly check back. Still a great idea hopefully it will work out in the end.

Every Mom Needs
An easy to use app to create a safe village of friends and family who can watch my children as the need arises! The app easily manages all activity from acquiring, to using points and communicating with other "villagers".
