I can’t create an account

I’m trying to create an account but it refuses to work

Email verification never sent

I was very excited about the opportunity to use this app, but I never got past the verification process. I waited and wait for an email that never came. I checked my junk and my spam. It was not there. And now the app won’t let me in. I think it’s important that the creator of this app fix this bug so we can all enjoy it.

Breath of fresh air

Absolutely love this app! I finally feel like I’m capable of learning my language and other Nigerian languages. This is a must have!!

Amazing

Im using this app to learn Igbo and it is AMAZING!!! I def recommend to every beginner

Finally, an app that teaches Nigerian languages AND the culture!!

Koyo isn’t just another vocabulary drill app, it actually teaches you how to use the language in real life. The lessons come with cultural context baked in, so you’re learning the right greeting for an elder or what to say walking into someone’s home, not just floating words.

These, in particular, stand out in the app;

- Real audio, real accents: No robotic TTS voices, it sounds like actual people speaking.
- Daily lessons: 5 minutes is genuinely enough to make progress. You can complete each one while in transit.
- Smart repetition: It brings back what you’re forgetting right when you need it, so nothing slips away.
- And my favorite part… Cultural insights are infused into every lesson. You learn how to belong in a conversation, not just memorize words and phrases.

If you grew up hearing Yoruba, Igbo, or Edo but haven’t learned to speak it back, or you’re trying to reconnect with your roots, KOYO gets it in a way generic language apps never could. Excited to see more languages added as they build on the amazing work already done. I heard more African languages are joining the club sometime!

Errors

The app is really helpful, but when trying to check my answers for a particular lesson it’s states server error, so I’m not able to move on

Unable to sign up

I was interested in the app but every time I try to create an account, I get stuck on the email verification page and no verification is sent. I have used 2 different emails and it is the same issue.

Undeveloped learning materials

The app has so potential especially as there is not that many apps that focus on teaching Africans or even Nigerian languages; however, my only gripe with app is the fact that the modules are not yet developed and completed. When I first joined this app, the first wasn’t even fully developed, and I had to wait nearly 2 weeks for it to be completed and now I’m still waiting for the next module to be coded and completed. I’m not writing this to be a hater but I want more and to offer constructive feedback.

It won’t stop crashing

Every time I try to use a feature on this app, it shows me an error message. I was really hoping that this app would be the one.
