Can’t play multiplayer anymore

It used to be that I could play this with a friend but lately we cannot get it to connect. No fun!

And I agree with many others - the game seems rigged when the robots go out immediately in the first couple of hands and I changed their game level play to smashy toddler instead of robot overlord.

Response from developer

Thanks for the comment Sharksgirl19. We just launched a new version (3.3) that addresses some bugs with the multiplayer feature, and hope that this can address the issues you've been having.

Suggestion

My family loves playing this game in multiplayer mode. It seems finnicky when we are starting a new game with the same players because not everyone is able to connect. Is there a way to play consecutive games with the same players without having to restart?

Terrible if you like winning

Get this… my gf and I are playing this game. I’m obviously trying to win right?!? Tell me why this NPC KEEPS GOING OUT THE FIRST ROUND. This game sucks if you want to win because you’ll only be losing to the computer. If I could give negative stars I would. Part of it is also cause I lost but STILL.

Multiplayer Game Play is a Cluster to Initiate

I’m not sure whether it’s this game or Game Center, but the multiplayer function is an absolute nightmare to navigate. Aside from that, I do like the game, and would give it 5 stars if there was a better play with friends function.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing Kentpetersen. Game Center is indeed difficult to navigate, especially given all of the consents and settings that need to be correct for all players. Perhaps we can create some better documentation to make this smoother for people running into issues - we'll look into this. Update: we just launched version 3.3 that addresses some of the clunkiness of multiplayer, please try again.

Few suggestions

Love the developer response, honestly one of the best I’ve seen. One of the first suggestions is being able to play with up to 6 people. The drawback is that there will be more cards on the screen, but for visual purposes we don’t need to see all the cards for 10+ while we’re playing. Once someone goes out and everyone reveals their deck, then all the cards can be shown (in two rows if it looks better this way and is able to fit in the screen). Ideally the cards would be grouped by how the computer automatically groups them, but obviously making sure the players don’t know how the computers groups them until AFTER they turn their cards over.

The other suggestion is to just remove the need to add bots for multiplayer and only require at least 2 players (i.e. you and your friend).

Response from developer

Thanks for the ideas - adding different number of players is a challenge and we'll give it some serious consideration. Glad you are enjoying the game!
