About

Kyoru is a very simple daily challenge: a walk and a selfie. Each day you take a selfie and the app measures what percentage of the photo is you —your face and your body— versus the rest of the world. The next day it suggests a 30-minute walk: stroll, think about your things, look at places you like and others you don't know yet. When you get back, another selfie, and it measures again. Over time, Kyoru charts your progress. The idea is simple: when you open up to the world and discover what you enjoy, you stop being the center of the frame and start letting in more of what surrounds you. Kyoru measures exactly that. WHAT YOU'LL FIND • Today — the day's challenge. Kyoru waits for you out walking, and the camera only shows up once you've done your 30 minutes. The walk is counted by the Health app, using steps from your iPhone and Apple Watch; if you'd rather, you can mark the walk as done yourself. • Progress — a chart of how much world you let in, day by day, plus the history of all your walks. • Gallery — every selfie you've taken, with the world tinted blue so you can see at a glance how much room you left it. • Map — the places where each photo was taken, if you grant location access. • Widgets — today's challenge on your Home Screen and Lock Screen: the walking minutes you have left, the nudge for when it's selfie time, and the world you let in. Music for your walks. More than 40 different melodies to enjoy the walk and relax. YOUR PHOTO NEVER LEAVES YOUR IPHONE Every selfie is analyzed on device with Apple's Vision framework. On supported iPhones, the reading of your photo is written by Apple Intelligence's on-device model, so that text doesn't travel anywhere either. Your photos are stored on the phone and synced to your private iCloud, so they aren't lost if you delete the app or switch iPhones. No account, no sign-up. KYORU PRO Your first three selfies are free: your starting point, the one after your first walk, and the next day's, so you get to see the change. After that, Kyoru Pro unlocks unlimited selfies, progress statistics, the map of your places, and Kyoru's full journey from shy to radiant. A minimalist black-and-white interface built on SF Symbols, with Kyoru for company. Kyoru works end to end with VoiceOver: the chart and the me/world bar are spoken out loud, with the full date and the percentages. It honors accessibility text sizes and Reduce Motion, and no piece of information depends on color alone. Kyoru is not a social network or a like counter. It's a calm way to look outward for a while each day. EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
