The worst app of all time
This thing gets worse with every update. There isn’t even a close second to how awful this thing is. For such an expensive machine god forbid they could make an app that was even somewhat decent. Never connects. Never installs. Have to enter some nonsense config mode. Their golden era is long behind them just move on

Privacy concern
I can understand the need for Bluetooth access but there’s no justification for making precise (or any) location access a mandatory requirement to use the app for coffee machine. Please remove this requirement, and if you want to claim it’s for linking the app to the right region or distributor let me select. You don’t need my precise LatLong for that purpose.

Works Great
I’ve been using the app for 3 weeks now with the Linea Micra and I had no issues so far, it works great!
Please upgrade the UI
The UI is still made for iPhone 8, Please make a change.
Stick to what you know
This app is terrible beyond words. It is clunky, unreliable, and sluggish. You need the app to change settings like temperature and pre infusion so unfortunately it is a necessity! This is an embarrassment for such a machine. Just make your machines manual like they were decades ago. Don’t make an app if you don’t know how. Make an espresso well and stop there.

Can turn on machine remotely!
Great app, connects fine to the machine. Can turn it on, and then when ready temp goes green. I usually make americanos, so being able to leave steam boiler off is superb

Would love it to be able to show the status of when it’s warmed up to the temp. We can set the temp but when we turn on the machine it will say 94oC and is green. That to me means it’s at correct temp. But can’t be as I have just switched it on. Please make both boiler and steam amber whilst warming then change it to green when at desired temp.

Not fit for the machine
This app was OK but is now next to useless. Slow, fussy, you can spend hours trying to get the thing to connect. LM need to get their act together and rebuild this completely. Updates are the worst, they almost always fail. Very very disappointing. Not good enough for the machine

Marzocco is making the best and most reliable coffee machines and they’re asking you to interact with it with the worst possible outdated app. It’s a total non sense. Please design a better app overall and develop a widget we could access quickly and easily to start and stop the machine remotely. And please enable a shortcuts through the Apple Shortcut app! (To ask Siri to start and stop the machine for example… 😑). Just… do better. Like your machines.

Functional but unimpressive
Fairly functional app, does what is says it will do — mostly. A little glitchy at times, with the clean cycle option being greyed out randomly, forcing an app restart several times. Would be great to fix these bugs, and amazing to add Siri shortcut or widget support.
Rock Solid in 2024
Since the most recent update, this app has been rock solid for me in controlling my La Marzocco Linea Mini. I really enjoy the added functionality I get from my 2023 machine.
Product with no features because of this app
When the app works it’s “fine”, poor ui but fine. The caveat being when it works. Since I’ve owned my Micra any update that has been pushed has caused a connection issue of some type. Most recently the machine won’t stay connected to the app and unpairing and repairing keeps failing because the machine won’t show to reconnect using Bluetooth. So all settings are getting locked in an app the doesn’t work so cannot be changed.
It’s super disappointing that a brand such as La Marzocco are ignoring their customers and letting the app ruin their products people have paid a lot of money for.

Not perfect, but getting better
As everyone mentioned, reliability has been an issue with this app. However, the last few weeks (August 2024), it seems to be a lot more stable. Fingers crossed.
Latest version requires location access to connect to wifi
Previous versions wanted to piggy-back device location to set the time. The app was then happy without location permission on subsequent uses.
Latest version wants location permission every time the app is opened and won't connect to wifi without it. LM support don't seem to want to talk about it as they won't respond to my support emails.
I don't know how LM see these machines being used but since mine was delivered it has been in the same place on my kitchen counter top. I don't move it around time zones with me, or even within time zones...

Requires geolocation
Dear La Marzocco, for what possible legitimate purpose do you require geolocation to use this app? Perhaps to collect as much data about your users as possible and then sell it? What a shame, you used to be a well respected company but is quickly sinking in my eyes. This app should not require internet connection at all. I’m controlling my machine that is sitting on a counter right next to me. But no, we cannot allow that, how would you capitalize on your customers data then. Disgusting.

Does what it’s supposed to
Good app and that does exactly what’s described but for such an expensive and timeless machine I’d expect better layout/UI. The app doesn’t do the machines any justice. I’d suggest changing the machine colour to match the serial numbers connected to the app. Make on/off controls easily accessible without looking thru menus (put it on the front page). Temps and steam boiler should be listed front page too. Sometimes, there is connectivity issues and these loading times are long. I’d like to see dedicated pre-infusion options in the future and an app overhaul, given the expense and timelessness of the machines.

Brew By Weight Hopeless
The app is fairly basic and the brew by weight connectivity to the outrageously expensive Acaia Lunar scale is random at best. On the rare occasion it works it is great.

Can’t access features after update
I updated to the latest firmware but can’t use some of the features like setting up a schedule. The option is not available for me because it says I need to update to the latest firmware. The information page says I am on the latest firmware with no option to update to anything newer so I’m now in limbo between the app thinking I’m on an old firmware while also telling me I’m on the latest.

This Free app has ruined my $8000 machine
Cannot control anything on my machine anymore… can’t set the temperature or control infusions … it’s like everything is gone
