About
Laina’s List is a small, calm place for the things you want to remember and the places you want to go, looked after by two sleepy black cats: Jasper (yellow eyes) and Juniper (green eyes).
LISTS
• Groceries, books, gift ideas, anything: each list gets a colour and an emoji.
• Tick things off, rename them with a tap, clear the ticked ones, undo a removal.
• Pin the lists you use most, and search across every list at once.
• Share one list (not all of them) with your partner or a friend through iCloud: you both add, tick and edit, and see each other’s changes.
PLACES
• A map of the places you want to try and the ones you love.
• Search for shops, food and fun, or press and hold the map to drop a pin.
• Mark each place “want to go” or “been here”, rate it from 1 to 10 and add a note.
• Filter and sort: newest, top rated, A to Z, or the next plan.
DATE IDEAS AND PLANS
• Ideas to start from, from apple picking to pottery to pizza night, plus your own.
• “Surprise me” when you cannot decide.
• Give an idea a day, find a place for it on the map, or save it to a list.
A LITTLE CALM
• A breathing garden: a flower opens as you breathe in and closes as you breathe out, and every breath plants something new.
• Each time you open the app, a gentle quote fades in over the sky while the cats wait below.
• Stroke Jasper and Juniper on the home screen and they wake up and purr.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• Everything you save stays on your iPhone and in its iCloud backup, except lists you choose to share, which live in iCloud for the people you invite.
• Export a backup file whenever you like, and restore it on a new phone.
Thoughtful touches: light and dark themes, VoiceOver labels throughout, and every animation stops when Reduce Motion is on.
