Before you make an offer on land, see what the listing photos leave out. Landlines GIS draws flood zones and wetlands over the parcel map as soon as you open it, so you can tell how much of a lot is usable before you drive out.
Tap a parcel for the county record: owner, last sale, acreage, and assessed values where the county publishes them.
LAYERS FOR DUE DILIGENCE
- Flood zones (FEMA) and wetlands (USFWS)
- Superfund sites and brownfields (EPA)
- Protected areas and federal surface management
- PLSS grid, elevation contours, topo base map
- School districts and building footprints
- Zoning, permits, and easements where published
Landlines reads county, state, and federal GIS services directly, and each layer names its source. A coverage layer shows where parcel lines are available.
IN THE FIELD
Your position shows with its GPS accuracy halo, and a chip tells you when you are within that margin of a parcel edge. Measure distance and area, search by address, drop pins, and save an area's parcel data for when the signal runs out.
IN THE CAR
With CarPlay, parcel lines show on your car's display. Check a parcel's address, acreage, and parcel ID where the county publishes them, and get turn-by-turn directions to a saved or nearby parcel. Owner details are not shown on the car screen.
Parcel lines and GPS position are approximate and come from public records. Use them to screen and plan; a licensed surveyor sets the legal boundary.
