Really good and good price - suggestion?
So far this app has been really helpful and I love that you can adjust how nice/ strict the ai is, however a really helpful feature would be if you could ask questions in between transcripts. At the moment I’m switching between pingo and google while using. Great app though, the flashcards are very helpful, too.

Language learning app
This language learning app was truly really good in the seven days that I used it for the free trial. I was actually having fun and remembering the words this was one of the first language learning apps that I actually had fun with and actually learn learned something from and the translations are pretty accurate even for some languages like Russian but I truly think this is an amazing language learning app I know I basically just said the same thing over and over again, but I truly mean it

Doesn’t have Tagalog
I am trying to learn Tagalog and I saw an ad for this app in TikTok it seemed good and what would help me learn but it has so many languages but no Tagalog (Filipino) add Tagalog!!!!!!!’
No grammar
It really wants you to focus on memorizing random sounds than actual grammar. It will tell you to say “where is the bakery” even before telling you you’re saying the word bakery, and it also really doesn’t want to teach conjugation or declination at all. It will continually try to get you back into the loop of asking where is the bakery instead of the most basic grammatical “I am, she is, they are”. It also struggles to hear me speak, a lot of times it’ll prompt me to speak and immediately within a half second say “that’s not quite [AI filler content nonsense]” and I’m like I didn’t say anything yet.

It is nearly impossible to cancel the subscription and they make it impossible to request refunds if you just wanted to try!! THIS APP IS A SCAM AND WILL STEAL 100 bucks from you!
The customer service is awful
I was trying the free trial out to see if I would like this app, but was wary because the cost was kinda high. I cancelled my subscription, but I was still charged. They use a payment method called link.com and I was unable to log in to submit for a refund. I emailed link.com and the advised me that I would need to contact the product(Pingo) for a refund because my account was deactivated. When I reached back to Pingo they said I would need to go through Link.com again. This runaround has been unbelievably frustrating and is causing me financial issues. I don’t recommend this App at all.

Good idea but needs a lot of work
I really like Pingo because it teaches me in real time to learn new phrases and expressions an offers me a variety of different forms of practising conversation.
However, as it’s an AI app lessons can be a difficult so I will say something clearly and it will say it’s wrong or it will cut me off as I’m speaking or suddenly decides talking in the language. I’m trying to learn without actually understanding what they saying. And I think it’s a good idea and practice but overtime can get quite annoying and frustrating so it’s good if you conversations and improve but you have to be tolerant and lenient of the mistakes it makes often

You have to pay to do anything and there’s not unlimited languages, the one I want to practice isn’t on here at all.
Steal money and use Link
Wouldn’t recommend any trial or subscription it doesn’t last 7 days as stated and they use link for payments without notice so they take your information and charge you. Not to mention the support sucks they don’t help and I have gone in circles with link and pingo both blaming eachother with no help.

So.. I was super excited to use this app, but it’s so expensive wdym I have to pay basically 100 dollars to try and learn Spanish just so I can hold a conversation with my boyfriend and his family?? In most on their native language??? This is bs
Useless
I bought the app to better my conversations in Spanish because I had already taken Spanish for three years. I was unable to actually practice answering freely because all it wanted me to do was repeat a prompt it gave me. Completely useless and not what I saw it was advertised for.
Only Speaks One Language
It’s telling me how to correct my Dutch, in Dutch. So I don’t actually understand how to correct it because I don’t speak Dutch yet. It’s only lesson 5.
