What happened?
Tried to sue this app to connect w friends and share photos but now it only takes photos?! Disappointing
Bring back the social feature
I love how you can take the picture aesthetically but I miss showing friends pictures in the moment. It was so much fun seeing others moments aswell. Please bring back the social features it was great.

I lalalalaalove this app so much solely based on the quality of the images that it produces. There is nothing like it. But please bring social features back, at least to the extent in where can just add eachother close friends and family and see their post. I don’t care about seeing strangers on their, or automated ai messages every time some one posted a photo, or even the instant message option. But I really did enjoy seeing my close friends/family post on lapse, specifically my hermit friends. It was the only app where things natural. Intimate. A moment. Please reconsider. Love you lapse. Please bring back the old app

It was better before the update it was fun to see what your friends post to see how there day was going
Heartbroken
Sadly not every user was notified of the gallery being permanently deleted by May 31 2026 so I lost many many precious memories. I wished we could at least get to keep our accounts even if the social aspect is gone. The app has lost its charm.

i miss the social media aspect
i love this app and i’ve used it to take photos for years. i miss the social media aspect of it, it was way more enjoyable during that time.
It was better
You don’t even wait for development anymore is done instantly which takes all the fun out of it. I also either when you got rid of all the socials you kept the profiles :(
App sucks now
Lost images from 2023 and so many highlights with the update. I loved the profile functions on the old version and the social feature just needs to be restored to the old version, this app is garbage now

Fan of the app, not a fan of the new version
Ive had lapse for a long time. Im talking about when you used to be able to put songs on your profile. Theres not an option for even a profile view anymore which was a fun addition to the disposable camera app. It was basically like a photo diary. Please bring the old verson back!

There have been so many people who have written reviews about needing to bring back social features. And it needs to happen, yalls numbers have gone down since taking them away and yall know it so please make everyone happy and bring them back!!! because i am not allowed to have snapchat and i like lapse much better but ever since the social features have been gone im not liking is so please please for the people!!!

It’s not the same, just a waste of storage space
I got the app originally in 2023 and it was by far my favorite social media app. You used to be able to assign a song for each month and to your profile but eventually that aspect was lost. I loved being able to follow my friends and see only the photos my friends shared. That it was truly set it apart for me. In a world full of social media apps that constantly shove content at you showing anything but the actual social life of your friends, Lapse stood out. That social aspect was also eventually lost because they changed to social page into a page where you would only see the posts of random people and your friends post were tucked away into a story format. That basically ruined the app completely for me, but still having the ability to see my friends’ photos and share my own kept me on it. Now there is no music and no social aspect. It’s basically an app that puts a filter in your photos at this point. It’s a waste of my storage space now. I’m really upset to have to delete it after how amazing and different it was at the very beginning. I really hope they bring the old Lapse back.

Disappointing
I loved lapse I don’t take a lot of photos but most of the ones I have over the past two years were on this app. So upset and heartbroken to open the app today after being mia for a while and discovering all of my photos gone with no way to recover. Absolutely devastated.
Camera has bugs
Not sure why but in the camera app shows 3X zoom option instead of 5X that's in phone.
Other than that it's pretty good.

I haven’t used this app since the social aspect has been taken away. I miss seeing what my friends were up to. It felt real and authentic compared to most other social media today. I know I would use this app so much more if they brought this back.
So worth it!
This app is amazing and so worth it. Even though they took social features away, I still love taking pictures of things with a retro filter. Please get it!
