Lapse was incredible and I miss the features every day. Still an awesome camera my friends envy.
Deleted pictures
Hi so my best friend died three years ago and now I can’t get any important pictures from the app. If the app is still up I’d love to find out if I can get my pictures at least before I delete the whole thing. I’m extremely frustrated because if the app is up then why aren’t my pictures.
Bring the old back!!!
Love this app, it’s adorable. But the old “social media” was so much better. Being able to share your photos with friends was the best. Still love this app, the filter is the best.

The social part was the only reason I got the app when it was removed I deleted the app I won’t re download it until social is back it’s fine to have an app that does 2 things !!

Photos deleted
I love everything about this app until today. I took numerous priceless photos and even viewed them in my app and they ALL disappeared!! I’m so upset. I went to look for how to contact them and the link didn’t exist. I don’t know how to reach out to customer service to see if they can get my photos back.

I redownloaded and i cant even log back into my account so i just lost all my photos. used to be able to send photos to friends and chat and see other peoples photos, it was so fun, now its boring. stupid app now BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION

I remember before this past December when it functioned as a social media platform as well as a filter and photo journal, I understand that the cost to uphold it was prolly a lot for the company but I do miss the old lapse. Still love using the filter it makes everything look so dope- my brother took a pic of a trash can in a parking lot and lapsed made it aesthetic and genuinely cool. Thanks lapse, even if you aren’t what you used to be.

Lose All Your Photos
Terrible. I took some photos in San Francisco because I liked the quality the app gave off. I stupidly didn’t take any with my regular camera. This was at the beginning of February. Suddenly the photos wouldn’t sync, I couldn’t see them or download them. I read about other having the same issue and they warned if you deleted and redownloaded the app, the pictures would disappear and the team unable to recover them. So I kept the app. I contacted customer service. I didn’t hear back. Over 6 months ago. They released an update that should’ve fixed the problem, but instead the snaps were still not syncing, and when I tried the option to download all old snaps as a zip file so I could recover them, it turns out that option was not really available. There was a tiny window in which to recover the zip file. So now it’s too late, I saw the snaps, could only retrieve them in a zip file, which was no longer available to download, followed by an announcement that they’ve dissolved their customer service team and won’t help anyone with requests from prior to May 2026. Too bad, out of luck! What they don’t tell you is even if you sent a help request in FEBRUARY they still won’t help, they’ll just wait until after the arbitrary deadline and then you’re out of luck and they will just close off their inbox to everyone. Absurd.

the social media part of this app was so great because it felt more intimate than other forms of social media in the world and it was one of the only places i actually shared photos, i wish you could bring it back!
Don’t Download
This is a sad review to make since I was a fan of the app when I first discovered it in 2023 and it was my favorite app by far! But after the downgrade everything sucks about this app, what sucks the most is that I lost all of my photos from 2023-2025 when I opened the app today. The pictures were not syncing, so there was an option to get the pictures through zip file instead, I decided to do that instead and believing that lie is what costed all of my memories to get deleted and there is no way to get them back. Please don’t waste your time in downloading an app that doesn’t care about it’s customer’s memories, nor does it care in doing anything to bring them back.

Bring back Social Feature / photo upload
Please, I beg. The social feature and uploading photos on you account slideshow was so cool. I loved the filter that it put. At least put a photo upload like I know it defeats the purpose of it being like a disposble but I like certain photos and throwbacks but I LOVE THE FILTER.

Very disappointed i couldn’t retrieve my old photos my dog recently passed away and i redownloaded the app so i could get our memories off it and now they are gone forever.
