Terrible app
There is no point having this app. All the stories you get to read you gotta pay e yes even though you already pay for the newspaper. It makes no sense to have or get this app. The regular paper doesn’t even have stories. Sum news is a joke
Don’t waste your money or time
As the print media for the second largest city in NM, this “newspaper” is worthless. It should be called the Anti-conservative News. It is common to have days pass without a single story from Las Cruces. Virtually the entire paper is the most slanted articles reprinted from biased Reuters and USA Today. After reading their ethical standards, I find it difficult to see that they are meeting them. 🤮

New sun-news app
This app is garbage! I have the print edition and I pay for that. I don’t need a new app. Please delete the screen that says to download the new app. It’s very annoying!
Poor
Be aware this paper is really just USA Today. The local news has a lot of NMSU football stories, very little otherwise. Some of the local “news” is days, weeks, or months old. Subscription is just not worth it, I’ve ended mine.

Screwed up
You really screwed it up with your last update. All I want is to read my local newspaper and now I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t want to read any of your other publications, but I can’t find a path to it. And why do you add pop up ads to a newspaper full of ads? I know it allows you to invade my privacy even more but you should try to mitigate your greed just a little.

Way too expensive
Way too expensive for someone who’s retired and living on a budget. Wish the would just leave it on a reduced price.

This app is the worst app of any I’ve used in years. It seems to be filled with bugs. Fix it!

This newer version is constantly freezing up. Takes longer to download. The advance page buttons skip pages. In the middle of reading a news article, the app will blink and switch back to the front page. This “ new app” should have been tested before being dumped on us

No longer a local newspaper
It seems to me this really isn’t a newspaper anymore.

I can count on the latest local news. The format I enjoy is the one from the original paper. It is easy to manueaver.
Broke something that worked
A lesson in how to screw up a perfectly good app.
Still haven’t fixed basic navigation in the app. Does not work with Folio Touch iPad case and is spotty at best with Apple Pencil. Previous version works with both of those devices.
And to the developer team - not everyone wants to read a newspaper on their phone. IPads are great for newspapers.

Bad update
I love reading the newspaper but this recent update has made it challenging at best and downright frustrating. It is unstable and jumps from page to page arbitrarily and from larger to smaller print in the middle of articles. The previous version was much more user friendly
Improved
The new version makes it easier to grow the comics page and navigate while maintaining the clarity of the image.
