Beware when booking a holiday with these rip-off merchants. They made a mistake on my booking, then charged me £50 to correct it, even though I was told by customer support that I wouldn’t be charged

Very disappointing experience with lastminute.com.
I booked a trip and started requesting cancellation at 8am the next morning due to an urgent family matter, even before I received full confirmation of the booking. Despite acting quickly, I was given completely conflicting information by multiple agents.
One agent told me only the hotel was non-refundable, while another later said the entire booking is non-refundable. This inconsistency is extremely frustrating and misleading.
Additionally, agents repeatedly ended the chat without properly resolving my issue, leaving me without clear answers or support.
I was also sent a quotation with no proper breakdown, and insurance documents that do not include the names of the insured passengers, making it impossible to verify whether the policy actually applies to me.
This lack of transparency, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of a time-sensitive request is unacceptable. Customers should be able to rely on accurate information, especially when they act promptly.
After you paid no one will care about you matters.
I would not recommend using this service based on my experience.
