Better to get it on Nintendo switch

Love the Professor Layton Series

I used to play these games on my Nintendo DS and 2DS as a kid, the storylines are always captivating and long and the puzzles would have me stumped for some time, but they were always fun to complete. The graphics are amazing, I also loved looking around at everything and tapping to find messages or hint coins. Overall a really fun series.

Just started playing

I absolutely love this on mobile. I’m glad I bought the trilogy. The music and voices are so good, and you can adjust the volume. I recommend playing with headphones on. Thank you for this chill game!

Great port!

This used to be one of my favorite DS games! It’s much easier now that I’m grown up but just as charming! I found the split screen really well done and the touch screen translated well. The addition of puzzle charms was fun too.

Classics hold up and better on iOS

Games on mobile are awful these days and I’m glad to enjoy something that isn’t constantly asking for more money. The story and music are still charming and though some puzzles are written incorrectly or confusingly, they’re very good brain teasers and are all varied in style. I’m so glad games like this can be preserved in the modern age, props to the developers/publishers!

Great Game with plenty of puzzles

The game is full of puzzles, which are really good for practicing your brain. The story is not complicated but warm and makes me touched. Although most of the puzzles are not related to the story, it’s not a problem for me.

Not optimized for iPad

If you play on an iPad, don’t bother with this game. It’s stuck in portrait mode and will not rotate to landscape mode. Horrible oversight by the developers. Such a waste for what could have been a cute game.

Phenomenal

Highly recommend to any puzzle game lover. From start to finish I was never bored and was continuously engaged throughout. Storyline involved twists and turns that kept me thinking up until then very end.
10/10!!!

An old classic reborn

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about the first Professor Layton game. This port really brings new life into the franchise for people who didn’t play it back on the DS or 3DS. I cannot wait until the sequel comes out on the switch.

No Sound??

I bought this to play on my iPad but for some reason the sound doesn’t work even after deleting and redownloading it. It’s not a problem with my iPad, only this app. Would love a fix for this so that I can play it :/
Edit: Another reviewer said that you need to have your notifications/ringer volume turned on. This works! Annoying to figure out but at least I can hear it now.

Answer submission glitch

Exceptional game, just as good as I remember. But puzzles like 121 which require an answer in a 1/X format will not accept the “/“ input, and register it as a “?”

I realize support this late into the life is rare, but it’d fix an otherwise remarkable experience

I LOVE This Game!

I had this for my DS but never finished it… until now. Playing on my Air, with my Pencil, was really fun and a lot of these puzzles are hard! (But not unsolvable.) It was worth every penny and I’m going to get the next two.

PLEASE BRING ALL The LAYTON GAMES.

I’m a huge fan of the Layton games- it’s my childhood. These bring me such happy memories. Level 5 please make all the Layton games available on mobile!!!!!

No sound

There is no sound!

Not for iPad or iPhone

The puzzles that have a letter as answer don’t recognize the keyboard. I am stuck and I paid a game that is not playable

Oops

Ooof I wish I had researched this a bit more before buying! I found it pretty annoying but it seems like its best if you already have a soft spot for the game in its original form!

PLEASE

add the other games to ios.. i'll pay anything!!

No sound on iOS

$10 app with absolutely no sound. I tried uninstalling it, phone off and on... nothing

Haven’t played the game yet, my if you have your ringer volume off the game volume won’t work. Don’t know why that’s the case but it is!

Amazing First Game

This game is great, but much much easier than the others in the series, which is why it’s a perfect first game. It is in no means easy though. I fully recommend to any Ace Attorney and Danganronpa fans too, as even though you aren’t solving murders it using similar energy in your mind.
