Great game
I’ve been playing this game on the iPad and I never tire of it. It’s part of my Saturday lunch routine. Love it..

It is sort a scam
You buy the game, like old Reiner games, then ios is updated, the developer decides not to update the game and you lose your money. This developer, Codito, removed some of the games I paid for. Are you sure you want to give them money?

Brilliant port of a great game, been playing this for many years now and it’s a classic I often come back to play online with friends.

Good game that no longer works
Good game up until apple updated ios to 18.2 . Now instantly crashes !!!! utter shame

Game won’t work on new iPhone
The game opens and closes immediately on newest iPhone with newest iOS installed.
Great until the recent iOS update
This worked great until the recent iOS update. Now it crashes whenever opened
App crashes as soon as it opens
Just bought the app and it won’t run. Crashes immediately after it opens. Sometimes the can get as far as clicking a button on the main screen, but then crashes. Happens in iPhone 16 as well as my MacBook Pro.

Brilliant port of a great game, but doesn’t work on iOS 18.2. Tried emailing developers support email but it gets rejected. Hopefully they will see this review and update the game with a patch. Does work on iOS 18.1 and below, but not the latest 18.2 that has been available for a few months. Will update review when game working again.

Does not work at all on iPhone or iPad
I was keen to buy this game based on board game reviews and the App Store reviews but it does not work at all on my iPhone Max Pro or iPad Pro. The app will load for a few seconds and then always crash. All the good reviews about app are obviously out of date. Very disappointing. If developers are not willing to maintain an iOS App they should at least remove from App Store, so users like myself won’t waste our time/money. Apple should not allow this either. I guess I will have to try request a refund.

Das Spiel funktioniert leider bei mir iPad OS 18.2 nicht mehr auf iPad Pro (11 Zoll, 3. Generation)
Needs an update!
The game does not fit the iPad Pro 11 inch with M2 processor. It will not go full screen, this should be noted in the description. It’s way too difficult to read the fine print! It seems like a good game but I dislike games that won’t go full screen and use such tiny fonts you can’t read them.

AI too predictable
Great implementation, only complaint is that the AI pretty much always follows the same strategy (build and buy buildings at all costs, loading up on loans), so it’s pretty easy to adapt and win almost every game.
10 years later still a great implementation
Countless hours played, zero bug or crashes a month 6 generations of iPhones iPad devices.

Love this game. Lots of fun figuring out all the different ways to win.

The original board game is complex in a fun way, and this is an attractive and easy to use version. The AI is good.

So Close To Perfect
This is a great game. Uwe Rosenberg makes great games. This is no exception. This is an excellent resource management game. The tutorial is very helpful and computer opponent difficulty settings vary from easy to hard.
Some annoying bugs exist still after years of play.
1) Disappearing Coins - Every so often, the game takes a coin at the end of a round. Even when you have paid all food costs. Not sure if this is due to auto-loan or not. Horribly frustrating when it happens.
2) Expansion - The Grand Hameau expansion is awesome and includes fun new buildings. I wish it were just included in the price of the game though. And the purchase didn’t transfer from my phone to my iPad :(
3) Sounds - There is no option to completely mute the sound. Not sure why. Annoying that I have to turn down/off the volume on my device to stop the sound effects.
As stated in the title, this game is so close to perfect. With the bugs, it is still worth the purchase.
