Literally unusable.
I can log in, but beyond the login screen, the app is useless. I’ve spent a lot of money on Aspen products. This is really frustrating. Please fix the bugs!
Page frozen
I tried to download the app and I could not do anything because the initial page is frozen and I cannot scroll or insert my info
Needs user friendly tools
The audio is good however it reads straight through. There is no bookmarks for different sections, the table of contents is not the same as the book as far as the sub-sections. You cannot jump the sections you are looking for, when assigned different pages, it is difficult to search the pages. Wish the ebook was connected to follow along and highlight and annotate as the audio reads.

Bugs galore
Can’t even access the app because the intro agreement screen is so buggy it’s dysfunctional.
Broken. Neglected. Useless.
This app is functionally useless. I can only access a single one of my 5 casebooks. I cannot read a text version in the app, and the audiobook is unfinished.
won’t open
there seems to be some block that won’t even let me read the user agreement and press Continue to actually open the app. It looks as if I won’t even get to see what my book looks like on this app…
Not the worst, but could be so much better!
Hi developers! If you can, please check out the ➡️📙 VitalSource Bookshelf ⬅️ app and generally try to emulate those features & its general functionality (just NOT the coachme quiz tool they recently added--it is unhelpful/invasive) that they have not only for audio but ebook access as well then your products would be just as life-changing for students like me. Using different voices and speeds and much better indexing (can auto-index chapters nowadays) would be useful. Integrating audio and text to enable highlighting and bookmarking and general tracking when studying. Thank you! 💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠 ***If anything, the indexing and the resetting that occurs whenever one exits & closes the app is the biggest inconvenience. Please consider better integrating with the operating system not only to make use of the wide array of preexisting voice options that devices have built-in nowadays for accessibility/read-aloud and other features so users can navigate with the on-screen controls or buttons on their devices while listening, i.e. skip forwards/backwards, play/pause the track (which would be especially helpful as I like to listen while driving my car)*** 💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠

upper division books not included, no text available, and additional cost required
I was really excited to see that audiobooks are now available for Aspen books after wishing I had that feature during 1L. I am an auditory learner, and being able to “read” during my commute is such an incredible feature. After frequent problems loading casebooks on casebook connect, I was also very excited to see that there was an app where I could download them to avoid lugging around casebooks or risk having casebook connect malfunction during cold calls.
Aspen has well-written casebooks that aid my learning in classes, but their supplemental materials such as online casebooks and read-aloud features are quite sub-par compared to their competitor. I now find myself groaning when I see that my professors have selected an Aspen book, not for the quality of the book itself, but because I know that I will not have the ability to listen to my text, and that casebook connect is so unreliable that I need to lug the physical book around everywhere I need it.
I would truly love to see Aspen casebooks become more accessible to students, as I am far from my only classmate to experience difficulties with the supplemental materials. I have plenty of positive things to say about the books themselves, but the supplemental materials desperately need improvement.

Why are the chapters 7 hours long
There is no way to click on the specific section or even hold where you are at. Once you leave the app the chapter starts all over. I guess I can write down the time stamp, but this seems to be a relatively easy update for the development team. And for some reason if it isn’t then we should be able to see subsections so that we can book mark where we’re at. Seems inefficient and definitely not worth a subscription. Please fix soon.

No Audio Book
I paid extra for the audio book for Contemporary Employment Law, Fifth Edition… however, the LEAF app states “it’s on the way” with no way to access it.
They’ll take your money and LEAF you high and dry. Buyer beware.

Worked at First
Worked the first time I tried it. All of the books are blank now and unusable
Ok, cool, but why no eBook?
Most of my books are available as eBooks. I rely on them so I don’t have to tote heavy books to campus and back. For whatever nonsensical reason, Aspen forces users to log onto a website to access eBooks, which is annoying because it thus requires one to be “online” or they can download on portions for “offline” access. When I received the email about Leaf, I was super excited, and immediately downloaded it assumed they finally released an App eReader but nope. This is just an audiobook application. Doesn’t let one take notes, or anything. Very disappointing. If anyone at Aspen Publishing reads this comment, take note: WE WANT AN APP TO E-READ BOOKS AND TAKE NOTES, THAT IS ACCESSIBLE EVEN WHEN OFFLINE.

Limited Access
Could only access the first chapter of my Constitution book
Just a preview but I great start.
Even though these are not the full books right now, it worked extremely well. I hope Aspen will hurry up and make this available for all their books. Has a nice student. I do a lot of reading/listening while in the car. I have had to use other apps to insert the text so that it will read to me. It would be nice to be able to access all my books from one place. I really hope this gets rolled out for full additions very soon.

Leaves much to be desired
I downloaded the app as a way to read my casebook on the go. Initially it wouldn’t even allow me to log in. Now that the EULA has been fixed, I can log in. However, I have a sample of 3 books that I can’t utilize past the 1st chapter. I only need one of the books in its entirety. Can’t win with this app….

So Needed
It’s just a preview now, but I’ve been dying for audiobook casebooks since I started law school. I have adhd and dyslexia and having a voice to follow along with that doesn’t sound like a robot will be a dream come true. I can’t wait for this to launch fully and to be able to purchase or access my assigned texts.
