So many updates

Every time I need to get in right away the app needs an update.

Hot garbage that you’re forced to use if your health provider uses Leap for their portal.

This app could use some serious work.

First of all when you send a message to your provider and you space it nicely/ use paragraphs so that you look like a civilized human being in the way that you write it, ignores them and puts it all in one giant block of text making you look like a raving lunatic.

My Commodore 64 that I owned 40+ years ago was able to do paragraphs. Why can’t this app?

Forgetting about anything else providers don’t want to read through a single block of text to try and figure out what you’re getting at. Paragraphs are a feature that every other app with a messaging function has.

Second, it frequently logs me out, and while I understand the sensitivity of health information it certainly shouldn’t be logging me out more often than my bank or an investment app does.

At least they could get Face ID implemented properly so I don’t have to type in a long complicated password every 10th or so time I launch the app.

Other than that, it’s nothing special but does work.

You’re probably being forced to download it with no alternative because it’s what your provider has chosen as a portal.

However, that doesn’t excuse the issues which just seemed to be lazy coding rather than any kind of technological restriction.

Always requires update, huge app

Every time I open it I can't use it without updating.

If you really need to update that much just make a website vs requiring me to have another app

Also >200MB?!

Response from developer

We understand your concerns about frequent updates and app size. We’re innovating quickly to bring you new features and improvements, giving you a richer and more secure experience while keeping your information protected and meeting required standards. The larger app size (over 200MB) is due to added features like telehealth, a smoother digital check-in, and tools that can scan and read documents. If you prefer, you can also use Leap through your browser at https://my.leaphealth.ai with your usual login. It offers the same core features, while the mobile app is optimized for the best performance.

Actual doctor access

Replaced three different portals with this. Scheduling took under two minutes, messaging my doctor directly before appointments made every visit more efficient. Lab results and records are all consolidated and easy to read. Didn’t expect to actually like a health app but here we are.

Super Convenient

I’ve been using Leap now for a couple of months. It’s really been a lifesaver, I can message my doctor and set up an appointment super quickly.

Patient

Great app, makes booking appointments seamless

Works well and easy to use

Overall a great app, and I encountered no issues! I’m able to book my appointments and message my doctor with no issues. Highly recommend!

Patient

Leap is an excellent app. I am easily able to communicate with my providers regarding appointments and labs, etc. My providers reply to me quite quickly and even the front office staff do as well. It also lets me check in with ease and the best part is it reminds me in many ways about my upcoming appointments. Great app!!

Messaging doesn’t work

I’m on my third try of trying to send a message to my doctor. It freezes up and doesn’t send. I can’t even type it up in another app and then copy and paste it over because it doesn’t allow copy paste. This is a terrible app.

Response from developer

Hi there, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Messaging and copy-paste should work normally, and we’d like to look into this for you. Please email us at support@leaphealth.ai or call 934-888-5327 so we can investigate and assist you further. Thank you.

Great Health App

The interface is clean, simple, and easy to navigate, which makes tracking health information feel less overwhelming. I like that it keeps everything in one place and makes it easy to stay on top of wellness habits

Amazing App

Very quick. I access my profile from anywhere.

Great Patient Portal

Very easy to navigate through and being able to communicate with my provider through the leap app.

Love this app

Easy to use love this app

Can’t do what i need at all

All i want is to download my results from a lab, cannot actually download the results. I do not want to download a health summary, i want the results of one particular lab. Also the app is only fitted for phones and cuts off words with an ellipses without any way to see what it actually says. When I click into lab results the ability to download any given one as a pdf should be available.

Basic functions for critical issues

This app is untenable — despite having all of my notifications turned on I don’t get notifications of messages from my care providers. I need to log in to check, that’s a major breakdown of communication design. I will not use this app and communicate directly with my provider going forward unless this is explicitly addressed. I have a chronic illness and cannot afford multiple days of errors.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience—we understand how critical timely communication is, especially when managing a chronic condition. When notifications are enabled and information is successfully synced from your provider’s office, message notifications should be delivered as expected. What you’re describing is not the intended behavior, and we’d like to investigate this further for you as a priority. Please reach out to us at support@leaphealth.ai or call 934-888-5327 so we can look into your specific case and help resolve this as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Leap Support Team

Useless

What actually is the point of this app??? I’ve had MyChart for a decade and at least that provides test results and a way to text with your doctor. This does absolutely nothing.

Response from developer

We understand your concerns and appreciate you sharing your feedback. Leap does support features such as viewing lab results, securely messaging your provider, appointment management, virtual check-in, telehealth, and more. However, each medical practice has control over which features and information they choose to make available to their patients within the app. For example, while the ability to publish lab results and enable direct patient-provider communication exists within Leap, some practices may choose not to enable certain features or may limit the type of information that is shared through the portal based on their workflows and policies. Our goal is to provide practices and patients with a secure, modern, and convenient healthcare experience, and feedback like yours helps us continue improving the platform.

Eh

I have multiple children and I can’t add a child to the account to be able to view all of their medical history. I messaged support through the app and never heard anything back.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We strive to respond to all support requests as quickly as possible, though on occasion, replies may be delayed if multiple members reach out at the same time. We’re reviewing our process to ensure no one feels left unheard. As reflected in the App Store listing (17+), Leap is currently designed for adult use. The app already supports family and caregiver access for patients 18 and older, allowing caregivers to manage the health records of adult loved ones. At this time, however, it does not yet support linking or managing health records for children under 18. We know how important this is for parents and caregivers, and I’m happy to share that our product team is actively working on expanding Leap to include child and adolescent health record management. While we don’t have an exact release date, this is a top priority and we’ll keep our users updated as we make progress. If you’d like to stay connected or receive updates on upcoming features, please reach us at support@leaphealth.ai. Your feedback helps shape the future of Leap, and we’d love to keep you informed.

I enjoy leap

I enjoy leap, the ease of making appointments but I wish there was a way to reach her by leaving a note somewhere. I finally resulted in schedule a video visit today so I could ask for a refill. If someone could show me there was another way I’d be glad to do that and not waste a video visit on this problem.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for the kind words about Leap - we’re glad you find scheduling easy to use. We also appreciate your feedback, and I’d love to share a couple of features that may help with situations like yours. Leap includes free, secure two-way messaging between patients and their connected practices. Some practices choose to allow messages to go directly to the physician, while others route them through their care team - but in either case, your messages are received and responded to without the need for a visit. Additionally, prescription refills can be requested right from the “My Health” → “Medications” section of the app. When you submit a refill request, your physician receives it instantly in their queue. They can renew with a single click or message you back if a visit is needed first. We want to make sure you’re getting the full benefit of the app. If you’d like help navigating messaging or refill requests, please check out the “Help Center” or reach out to us at support@leaphealth.ai. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us ensure it works seamlessly for you.

Great application

The application is very user friendly, I would definitely recommend for other patients.

Response from developer

Thank you for your recommendation! We're delighted to hear that you find the app user-friendly. Your feedback means a lot as we continue to improve the experience for all patients. We appreciate you being part of the Leap Health community!

Needs work

I can never actually schedule an appointment through the app. Whenever I select a time slot with my provider (who doesn’t show up on the apps directory half of the time) and click book appointment it never goes through despite deleting and reinstalling the app numerous times. The vitals section is pretty solid as well.
