Great !!

I found the app on the App Store used my free trail and kept it! If you really want to take it seriously and learn from the beginning chose Dr.wolf

What’s wrong with animation

Animation of moves has become annoyingly slow after update and no option to revert it back in the settings

How bad is Dr. Wolf (Actually, a little more than kind of bad)

I want to complete the task, win with none of the pawns taken. And he keeps taking them, so I have to restart the game almost every every every single time. (And it’s about more than 10 times) (And it’s soooooooooo annoying)

Actually works and fun, too

play for free. No ads.
Never won a game of chess in my life until Doc showed me what better moves looked like. Now when I play, I improve.
Can practically feel the new neural pathways opening up.

Fantastic! 💕🌷

This app is great if you want to practice chess or learn and I have improved my skills a lot with it. I love how you can choose a level and review your match to see the mistakes you’ve made. I highly recommend this app! 💕🌷🎀

Outstanding!

The best chess app that I have ever used, great for learning and practice - truly amazing

Came to learn

This program teaches nothing. Just a waste of time and energy. If there was a proper follow thru with moves as you are playing, that were wrong or blunders, not after the fact, it might’ve been ok.

U can’t even learn with dr wolf

Bro I tried learn this but it’s to hard how are we supposed to learn while being hard don’t download this horrible chess.com is better

Great app to learn how to play chess for free. NO ADS!

You can play from beginner to expert. They show you how each piece moves.

amazing!

The coaching is absolutely fantastic and the voice is cool too! The way it teaches you how to move the pieces is easy to understand and follow, the challengers’ give cool, simple facts, I LOVE THIS! ( if I could, I would give this a 10 star!)

Spectacular

I would like to see more rationales for suggested moves and be able to progress a move or two after training to see the outcome.

Superbly Made

Thank you for this app. It’s improving my game immensely.

Good but..

Great app when you’re first starting out, but the beginner level becomes much harder as you progress. The difficulty ramps up too quickly and eventually feels unplayable for newer players. I enjoyed it at first, but the progression needs to be smoother

Amazing!

This app is just brilliant. I got this app as I used to have it in my iPad when I was younger an I really wanted to try it on my phone. Dr Wolf is so helpful and although I haven’t signed up for coaching the lessons have really helped me improve my game and I have come close to beating my elder brother a few times! That is quite an achievement for me as he has beat me in every game I’ve ever played!!!!!

Learning adaptive AI

So I've been playing on this app for over a year I believe. I have it set to a certain level. The game is adjusting far beyond the level almost like it's learning and adapting using AI. I'll get into positions where I'm dominating, and it'll pull some grand master moves to rip the game away. It's making it not fun. If I improve but the game adjusts to my level of play making extremely advanced moves passed the difficulty level I've set, then I'm not learning anything. I can't use strategy and techniques at my level, just for it to pull a Bobby Fisher in two moves. Now this isn't the run of the mill "i'm just not that good". If you want it to be advanced, make that the advanced level. If the gsme is actively use AI to adapt to my level of play without me increasing the difficulty than it's pointless. You can see one played thousands of games. Nearly daily. It's really discouraging when I play a perfect game, leave no holes that a normal person at my level would recognize, just for the game to think 12 moves ahead and run diagnostics to go through 18,000 scenarios to find the one move that works. It's kinda dumb. I've been playing my entire life. As you can see I've won 800 plus games and lost over 2000. I don't mind losing. It's part of learning. But at a point it's getting unrealistically difficult and as I stated going from intermediate to grand master level when I start to win a few times in a row.

My favorite chess app

I’ve tried a few and this is by far the best. Easy to use. Good lessons. Did the free trial and enjoyed the coaching.
