This app works well as a starting place for learning Dutch. There are opportunities to listen, read, speak, and write. The storylines & characters are amusing enough, which keeps the whole thing from being too much like a high school language class.

This is one of the best language apps I have found. It covers all the main aspects of acquiring the basics of a new language. I wish, but doubt the software is out there yet, it could grade your verbal attempt rather than you making your own comparison. However, I have not found any other app that can do this, so it is one of the best I have tried, and I have tried a few.
