Weird pronunciation. Ghanaian Hausa speaking boyfriend says it’s wrong

The pronunciation is weird and does not match that of my Ghanaian Hausa speaking boyfriend, his friends, my Nigerian Hausa language teacher, OR the videos I’ve found on YouTube. First example is the word Sannu, like “hello” or “Sorry”. All of the above pronounce it san-noo. This ap says san-nee.

Pronunciation and meaning are off

Sounds like a different language

Zero rating

This must be a joke! I’m Hausa and wanted to check this App before recommending it to my son. The pronunciation is far from Hausa. It sounds like an Eastern European language.
