What's New in Learn Music Notes Piano

2.9.2

August 20, 2026

* New: Note Runs! Practice reading short 2-4 note sequences instead of single notes, including runs cut from real melodies, from folk tunes to Bach and Mozart. * Runs grow with you: start with 2 notes, unlock 3 and 4 as your reading improves. * Nicer notation with beamed eighth notes and cleaner stems. * Leave us a review on the App Store!

Worst game ever

So many things cost money and and you can only do piano which i think is a bad idea plus if press on the button that looks like a piano in the top right corner I thought it would have trumpet or French horn but it didn’t so I just did some of the learning but then it started lagging for some reason and my screen turned black so I left the game to make this review and I found out all of this in just under 15 minutes so one star

Response from developer

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. There are four input methods: virtual piano, buttons with note names, microphone, or MIDI. You can select them on the practice screen, together with staff and key. If you would like the app to recognize your instrument, such as a trumpet, you need to change mic transposition in the settings section. Thank you!

Awful

Made it to where I can’t select custom note range without paying. App is now useless to me and my students.

Update*** got a bad response from developer. Sorry bud, your app is still useless. Out of all the things that should be free with this app, note range selection should be one of them. Otherwise there is no point. I can’t start a beginner on all of the notes. I understand the timer and other features being behind a paywall but not this. Especially when it was free before.

Response from developer

We really admire and support people who want to make education more accessible, including those who offer free lessons to students. We just choose to support that mission in our own way, so we're not able to help with your request. We apologize for any inconvenience. Advanced features, such as note range selection, require a subscription. I appreciate your understanding.

Learn Music Notes Sight Read

It doesn’t give new stickers once you’ve done something. And it’s changed so you can only do melodies Everything else is good.

Response from developer

You can still learn basics, practice Flashcards, and play melodies without any restrictions. Only games and advanced features require a subscription plan. To get a sticker, you need at least 13 correct answers. Thank you.
