Best thing since sliced bread

Easy buying journey and quick installation and activation!

Rubbish

Allowed UK purchase of North America eSIM which worked in the first service provider region. As I travelled nothing worked. Lebara online support chat said it wasn’t a UK purchase even though Order ID contains ‘GB’ reference. Waste of my money.

eSIM

Cannot get connected - no matter what- even the email is not easy to access the correct email to send. Paid for a 30 day 25gb but now 5 days gone - still no connection

Appalling app

Keep well away. All seemed good until I actually got to America and the app would not work. I had to pay my phone supplier to get internet.
It didn’t work, I didn’t use any of the data I paid for and they wouldn’t even consider a refund. I don’t write reviews normally but feel people need to be made aware of this totally unreliable & untrustworthy product.

Don’t buy Lebara ESIM

I paid £20 and spoke to their support team before departure, who promised it would be active as soon as I arrived at my destination. However, the eSIM did not work at all on arrival. I was extremely stressed; I tried to use shared hotspots from other people but nothing worked.

I requested a refund, but received no response or information. I am leaving this review to warn others: do not let them rip you off and leave you stranded and stressed far from home.

Poor service and connection

Bought 3 plans for turkey whilst in uk couldn’t use properly had to rely on wi-Fi most of the time, absolute con ! Same happened when I bought plans for Morocco, I should of learnt my lesson then ,Don’t bother buying plans - customer service talks in circles so you never really get to the bottom of it all whilst stuck without internet connection, stick with other providers

Recommend!!

Excellent service. Used is twice in USA and Netherlands.
No issues with data. Did drop a couple of times but recovered very quickly as well! Would recommend:).

Waste of time

Would not even give one star waste of time does not work. Purchased 2 destinations, set up as instructions, data did not activate as indicated, therefore left me stranded with no data or WiFi. Stressful, unable to communicate with my contacts at destination. Managed to get free WiFi, chatted with support team for over 1 hour without any success, I just gave up. Used free WiFi & friends data to get by. Other destination just the same.
Recommend using Vodafone travel together, easy set up and worked without any issues.

Horrendous e sim

Paid 30 for a 50GB eSIM that works across Greece I land in Greece and activate the SIM card and all of a sudden the country in which I bought it for (Greece) has now changed to Austria so was unable to use. Waste of money and time. Completely Unreliable.

think twice

I activated this before I departed hoping it would work right after I arrive in the states but man, it took me over an hour without data signal and I had to find a wifi just to find me an uber cause this is unreliable

Didn’t work - use someone else

The eSIM never connected on my phone. I spoke to support for hours and never solved it. Requested a refund but was never provided. I used a competitor in the end and it immediately connected.

Bad product and service

Unlock my esim

I am trying to unlock my eSIM on app but can’t do it. I don’t know where to get help from.

Didn’t work no refund

eSim failed no refund

Good

Best experience

Truly awful, avoid

Just get Saily, this is the most unreliable service on earth and completely disappears randomly for hours, switched to Saily halfway through the trip and it’s been very consistent

App is Not Ready

Very frustrating experience overall.

- I was told the eSIM would install automatically upon landing - that is not true. If you already have something called “Travel” eSIM, your new eSIM will be nameless, and you’ll still have to configure it.

- The app showed I had (0) Active Plans after purchasing a plan. This will show (0) until the plan is active, which doesn’t happen automatically like they say it does. Also today my plan showed as inactive again despite support telling me I still have data.

- The eSIM doesn’t have its own phone number for the country you’re in - would have been nice to know.

- You cannot see your data usage in the app, you’ll need to reset your data in your phone to see how much you’ve used. This is super inconvenient.

- Trying to contact support in the app, I was led to an error page for several days - it’s “fixed” now, but the chat will still sometimes drop and restart if you leave the app.

- I was told to delete and re-download the app as a troubleshooting step on not having a data top up option available (wasting valuable data!) even though I was on the latest version of the app. Only for the next support person I was connected with to tell me it’s expected behavior the option isn’t there because I had over 5G of data left (which is more data and a different amount than the same agent told me earlier in the chat).

- I was told I can’t top up my data until I’m out of data, which makes no sense because how can you complete a purchase without data unless you’re on wifi?

- Only after I said I’d need to go to a different provider if this was my only option (to have a lapse in data in order to purchase top up data), did the agent tell me I would see the option to top up available when I had 300MB of usage left. Which again, is listed nowhere in their FAQs. And you also can’t see your data usage in the app.

- The quality of the data itself has been fine, but absolutely not worth the headache and ambiguity of installation and top ups. I’ve spent hours trying to figure things out, and am very sad I went with this provider. I will not be using them again.

Poor App

Tried three times to codes with yahoo.co.uk where the codes are coming through incredibly slowly. Really troublesome.
Incompatible with yahoo mail

Good travel eSIM

Price was fair and I had no major issues, Good travel eSIM

Excellent and useful App

The app has been extremely helpful

Frauds

They charge you money but you’ll never get the data. The support are absolutely terrible and come up with rules to avoid refund. Avoid!
