The Leica FOTOS app has come a long way. Today, it’s an excellent companion to Leica cameras: it does exactly what it’s meant to do, and does it exceptionally well. Like the cameras themselves, the app feels unmistakably Leica—refined, intuitive, and focused on the essentials.
Fotos gets better
Five stars may seem excessive, but this app has improved greatly since I began using it with my Q years ago.
Their “seamless, instant, everywhere “ is certainly far more true than ever.
Leica charges a premium for premium gear, they should definitely have premium software to go along with their cameras.

Simple, clean, effective
I use it on an iPhone 16 Pro in conjunction with my Leica Q3. Excellent and simple interface, very easy to use and does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any fuss or unnecessary frills. File transfer either by WiFi or USB-C is devilish fast.
Glitchy
Always glitchy. Pairing with M11 is always a hit or miss. Even using USB C connection.

Keeps disconnecting
Downloading photos from my Q3 using this app has been nothing short of frustrating. Absolute junk of an app. It keeps disconnecting from the camera.
flawless until now
Never had a problem in over two years. On a trip to London the wireless connection started failing mid-connection despite trying all solitons I found online. Wish it just worked again.

The best photo companion app PERIOD
Easily the best app I’ve ever used for any camera system. Connects easily, uploads with no issues.
Terrible!!
App only connected once! Then whenever I turn off camera or iPad, it won’t reconnect. I have to delete the camera from Bluetooth, delete phone from app, restart BOTH then it MIGHT reconnect or it might not. 2, stars.
Current version much improved
I had issues with the app for quite a while , but the current version connects quicker and with fewer failures.

Such a great camera such a bad app Sofort 2)
I love the camera and I would love it even more if I could use it as a printer for pictures on my iPhone
The app is fiddly and not very stable. I can’t pair the camera to the phone despite the phone recognising the camera clearly.
I have wasted days on end with support on another issue, they tried once and then told me the camera is broken and send it in.
With a lot of time I found the issue myself.
The camera is great, the app not so much.

Camera and app constantly losing connection
My camera regularly disconnects from the app and then will not reconnect.
I have to uninstall the app and reinstall, sometimes more than once, to get a connection back.
When I am connected I do find the app easy to use.

Seit 5 Jahren benutze ich die App. In diesen 5 Jahren ist sie stetig besser geworden. In Kombination mit dem Kabel (usbc) ist die Verbindung so schnell und stabil, dass ich begeistert bin. Danke an das DEV Team

Bad, Obscure, confusing
Draining battery
Love this app, works great and no complaints there. However after a recent update it seems it’s running in the background nonstop. Quickly turned into one of my most battery draining apps with it only being in the background.
Best Camera Photo App
Leica FOTOS App is the best application out of all the other camera applications.
