If I can’t trust you in free, why would I pay?
I’ve used this app for a couple years. I love that it was just simple tracking and letting me know how pages to read to finish by a specific day that’s all I want. The last two years have been really bad. I barely used the app because it keeps resetting my goals and now I can’t add a book. It keeps trying to get me to upgrade. The app barely wrote for the past two years. What makes you think I’m gonna spend 39.99 a year or 7.99 a week on this app

Used to be 10/10 go to app but it’s AWFUL now 1/10. None of the features work anymore
Lost all my quotes and notes
I lost all my quotes and notes after the update. Emailed them twice about it and no response.
App used to be amazing
This app used to be so user friendly but updates have rendered it buggy and hostile to users. I hate the new bookshelf—the fact that I have to manually sort all my books is really a pain. Why can’t I easily filter out completed books under “all books” view? It makes no sense. I can’t edit my reading sessions like I used to, and my favorite feature is gone—how long it’s taking me on average to read a page.
I used to love this app but I’m sorely disappointed with the updates it’s had in recent years.

What happened?!
This app is unusable now. It used to be my most used app, but with all these unnecessary updates, I can’t even interact with the app. It also deleted ALL my reading data. Thankfully I exported it before one of the previous useless updates. Do not get this app. It’s not worth it.

Used to love app, now after updates app barely works. After the most current one app won’t even open and I can’t access any of my data.

My app is fine.
Love but can open and edit my notes.
I’ve been using for about 1.5 years now. It was great I used a note to keep track it was just easier. Well now I can’t access my notes and I’m so upset. I just want to update it!!!! I want this issue fixed thank you very much.

Daily streak/day longest and goal setting don’t work
Love this app, it helps motivate me to continue reading all of the books I have, but my one problem is that the daily streaks/day longest doesn’t work nor record at all, alongside that my goals keep changing back to basic and not what I set them as, so I have to keep re-doing it to see where I’m at
what happened???
I used to loveeee this app so much. I sent in an email at the beginning of the year explaining my issues with the app. My statistics from the past have been erased, and my current statistics won’t keep up. The statistics used to be my favorite part, now it’s just a reading timer. I want the old app back.

Couldn’t even start?!
I downloaded the app because I say a good add on TikTok saying it could help you read books faster and also listen to audio books. I opened the app and selected all the questions. when I was finished it tried asking me for a subscription, I thought it would give me a chance to say no, but it didn’t?!? I really don’t want to pay and I can’t so it’s not worth downloading

Latest update is not great
I just got a new phone and updated Leio and what is this? Everything is different. The interface is confusing and not user friendly. I liked the simple layout thats actually advertised in the App Store. Can you bring that back? Can I remove an update? Because this app is not it anymore.
Awful app+company
They stole my video on tiktok to advertise their app, without asking for permission or giving any credit. They cut my video apart and left out all the clips when i was using a free youtube timer, to then replace them with screen recordings of their app. I have also taken a look at the app and was underwhelmed. They charge a $30 a year subscription for the app with only a 3 day trial. Billing starts immediately after those three days which barely gives you a chance.

Do not use!!!
Update 2 - 5/2/25: I am horrified to see ads for Leio on TikTok after their app has been broken for almost a year now with no changes to make it any better. I have no idea how the developer doesn’t understand that they had a product with a loyal fan base that was most likely willing to pay for premium features which they destroyed with their own hubris. Instead of fixing it, they start pushing out marketing. Talk about rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. For them to be advertising the app in this current form is gross misrepresentation. DO NOT USE THIS APP!
Update 1 - 9/17/24: The app is now unusable with the IOS18 update. I’ve been trying all day and was only able to open the app one time after deleting and redownloading and power cycling my phone multiple times. When I was able to open it, I found all of my data erased including books I was in the middle of and all of my backups. I tried to reach out to the developers months ago as requested only to be ignored or have my email bounce back. I am officially giving up Leio and will no longer be recommending it. Very sad to see such a useful app with unique features become unusable for aesthetic upgrades.

Total scam
So I bought this app and got a free trial and then I looked around and was like I don’t really like this so I canceled my subscription but I guess I canceled my subscription a little too late so I ended up having to pay for a full year subscription when I don’t even use it. really hard to get a refund when the app support takes you to a website that’s not even found and there’s no contact information. This is really fishy and is a total scam. Do not trust TikTok and always look at views. I wish I had before I purchased this.

This app had a lot of potential and I was really excited to download and try it. I was even considering paying for the subscription too until I realized it doesn’t actually work. It doesn’t count your reading streak or even properly track your pages read. Honestly, it was a huge disappointment

I miss the old version so bad. I miss the displays on how far along my books were. I miss how the old books were archived. I used to be able just look up the book I’m reading without scanning. That is all gone now and I wish I could have it back :(. If it’s not broke don’t fix it!! After many months of waiting for the bugs to get fixed and getting used to it, I feel like I should just give up. Oh well, enjoyed it while it lasted.
