Where are photos
You add photos to your Google folder and they never show up in the frame
It does not connect to Google Pictures Folders
It does connect to the local pictures folder, but then it is limited the amount you can upload at once. Not able to go by category such as favorite
Sluggish
Very hard to add old photos that you shot a few years back from your phone album. As it will not allow go all the way back without sluggish waiting in between supper long time.
Wish they’d update to fix Google Photos
With the Google Photos API update, Google Photos no longer connects. App hasn’t been updated to fix this. Adding photos manually is PAINFUL. Only 9 at a time, only from your photo stream (not albums) and the scroll is VERY slow. If I want to add photos from my stream that are 5000 pictures down my photo stream it’s probably going to take 15 minutes to scroll that far down. Then I can only add the 9 photos and have to repeat the same 15 minutes of scrolling. So tedious! As far as I can see, though, this is now the only way to transfer photos. So sad! I loved this product so much I bought one for dental family members as well.

Abandon Product
Lost Google Photos access. With no physical input capability, virtually useless.
Old app causing issues
This frame has been wonderful for years, but the app is so outdated that when Google changed its permissions it is no longer able to see any of the Google albums.

Frame is fine. Software not good and no updates since 2022
The frame worked fine when linked to Google Photos, but Google made some API changes that broke frames ability to sync. Tried to load photos from my phone, but you can only upload 9 at a time, and that function doesn’t work for me despite being connected to same WiFi network. I don’t have Instagram account, so at the moment I’m stuck with a frame and no ability to upload my own photos.

Google photos broken
Worthless when it cannot access your photos.
Not happy
Your program is not user friendly for older people. I would like to see all of my photos not the few that keep repeating. Our computer screen saver shows all of our pictures w/o having to mess with it. Why don’t you have one button that says show all. Is that too simple?
Picture connection
Connecting with Google Hotsos is not S easy as it used to be. Now you have to individually add photos. It’s a pain
Was good, now doesn't work with Google Photos.
App was good. Googles new photos API broke this app and there are no signs that they are working on an update. Google says Lenovo hasn't reached out to them. This ap has not been updated in 3 years. The ability to upload local photos is a joke. It took me 3 hours to scroll back to photos from 2023, and was only able to upload 9 at a time. Then I would have to spend another 3 hours scrolling through photos to upload another 9. Please update to fix app. Customer service will tell you to remove your Google photo account and add it back giving authorization. This deletes all the photos from the frame. Please talk to support people and update this app.

Do not buy Lenovo products
I love the frame but it requires an app to work and Lenovo abandoned it making the frame just a useless brick. They will abandon their products so you have to buy new ones. If you buy a Lenovo product, you should only expect it to work for a couple years until it is unsupported and you need to buy a new one. This is bad business and a complete waste of money.

Lenovo has let the API for Google Photos connection expire thus far bricking the frames. All messages to Lenovo have gone unanswered. Definitely sours the future possibility of ever buying another Lenovo product again.
Do not use
Return the product you bought if you need to use this app to link to google for pictures as it no longer connects to your google account and will not display photos. Developer has given up and we have had no response to updating so we can actually use our expensive product for what it was intended.
Don’t Purchase
It’s old school - no easy way to load photos. Many better units out there.

Support for Google photos is broken
The frame cannot sync photos from Google photos anymore. Google update their API, but Lenovo did not update their software to work the updated API.
Effectively useless
Google has updated their API for Google photos and now this app and smartframe can’t access any albums and has now rendered this app and frame near on useless.
Not connecting to my Google photos
So sad the app is not allowing me to connect to my google photos. That’s the whole reason I got this frame
