FAQ
What kind of 3D models can Lensculpt create?
Lensculpt can create textured USDZ models from overlapping iPhone camera views. It is best suited for rigid, textured objects and can also scan rooms with LiDAR-supported iPhones.
Can I edit the 3D models after creation in Lensculpt?
Yes, Lensculpt allows for non-destructive texture and cleanup adjustments to the generated 3D models. You can also preview the geometry in shaded or wireframe modes.
What file formats can I export my 3D models from Lensculpt?
You can export completed meshes as USDZ, OBJ, or FBX. Experimental Gaussian results can be shared as SPZ.
Does Lensculpt require an account or upload data to the cloud?
No, Lensculpt has no account, ads, analytics, or automatic cloud upload. All captures and models stay within the app container until you explicitly share them.
What are the limitations of Lensculpt for creating 3D models?
Results depend on device, lighting, subject, coverage, and resources. Reflective, transparent, moving, flexible, or low-texture subjects may fail. Gaussian training and Building Exterior capture are experimental and do not guarantee certified measurements or exact scale.
Does Lensculpt have ads?
No, Lensculpt does not contain advertisements. The app is completely ad-free.
What devices does Lensculpt support?
Lensculpt is supported on iPhones. For room scanning capabilities, a supported LiDAR iPhone is required.
How often is Lensculpt updated?
Lensculpt was last updated on September 9, 2026, with version 1.1. The release date was also September 9, 2026.
