Boreal Splat is a local-first tool for opening and inspecting Gaussian splat files on iPhone and iPad. When a PLY, SPZ, or .splat file arrives from a collaborator or capture workflow, use Boreal Splat to understand what it contains before you present or hand it off. OPEN FROM YOUR FILES • Work with supported PLY, SPZ, and .splat files. • Use familiar Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, Share Sheet, and drag-and-drop workflows. INSPECT BEFORE YOU LOAD • Review format, version, Gaussian count, spherical harmonics, bounds, and key attributes. • See compatibility warnings and estimated CPU/GPU memory before large allocations. • Get clear explanations when a file is unsupported, incomplete, or too demanding for the device. VIEW WITH CONTROL • Orbit, pan, zoom, fit, and reset the scene. • Adjust background, exposure, splat scale, and rendering quality without modifying the source file. • Save or share an image of the current view. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Files are processed on device. No account is required, and the core workflow does not upload your files.
