Listen to your customers
Looks and acts like an app built >5 years ago. The basics of good CX are missing. What is frustrating is that other reviews
From 1-2 years ago mention this but the issues remain.

Terrible UX
This could be a great app, but the user experience is actually terrible. There’s no way to remove specific ingredients and no possibility to specify any allergens. The pop up that says “let us know about allergies” but then there’s no way to let you know about allergies is just mean to the customer.
Also, when the payment fails, basket is emptied and you have to start your order from scratch.

App
It would be good to be able to add the membership/barcode/QR code to your apple wallet. Especially if you haven’t used the app for a while…
stupid to the point of offense
I downloaded this app as i went to a leon outlet and had a 15% student discount code from student beans. when ordering at the digital kiosk it offered me not a single point to put in my code, and the scanner was redundant as there was no point scanning a set of numbers on my phone screen. I then downloaded this app and tried to mobile order but even that showed only outlets in london, and birmingham new street despite typing in the city I was in and allowing location. I then paid full price, and waited in a queue of 6 other people for the ONE employee to make my bowl of slop behind the counter. cheers now not only will i never buy here again, i’ll never trust a person named leon again.

Not very good
You can use the app to order but the experience is poor. There’s no integration with Apple Pay, it doesn’t feel like a native app, and it’s generally quite buggy, you’ll get frozen screens and cryptic error messages.
Customer services
Impossible to contact Leon customer services ?
No Apple Pay???????
Imagine not accepting Apple Pay in this day and age and forcing you to type out all of your card details as they don’t support autofill either
Not functional
Only lets me order things I’ve ordered previously
No qr code for rewards
I really like your restaurants, however the code is long and it’s not the best customer experience to enter it, qr is needed urgently
Not able to place order
I’ve tried several times to this month to complete an order for coffee that fails when you submit it. I then have to resort to using the kiosk which doesn’t seem to allow me to use the points I’ve accumulated. I love Leon but this is a poor experience. Such a shame!
Not slick
Connectivity issues and poor loyalty integration
Historical orders broken
Mostly ok, nowhere near as bad as the reviews from years ago suggest. UX flow is a bit awkward, with more taps than necessary, and inconsistencies in the way custom options are presented. Last week the tab showing historical orders has completely stopped working. Otherwise functional, but not exactly slick.

Checkout button is greyed out
Can’t c&c
Price hikes
Taking the pish with £1 slapped on the meal deal unexpectedly, not worth it.
Clunky
If the time selected for pickup before you pay has gone, it fails! No Apple Pay either as of late.
Mobile data broken
Keeps complaining about WiFi not working, the app can’t seem to figure out how to use mobile data
Not practical and errors
First of all you have to enter manually your long code into the kiosk, no way to scan it. Now even reads the points wrong , I have nearly 4000 points collected and it’s telling me I need to earn 2037 for my next reward!! when you only need 3000 for a reward ,
Totally broken
Keeps telling me I’m not connected while I have all bars of 5G
Glitchy
They really need to fix this app. It’s a coin toss as to whether it will work or whether you spend 5 mins getting kicked out of your order. Unusable at times.
Cynical Leon
Even during the few months that I have been using the app & subscription - Leon have pushed back the opening hours of all of outlets which are part of the subscription local to me (Kings Cross.) A coffee shop which opens at 8AM when all the other local eateries selling breakfast open at 5 or 6 is novel. Even Pret didn’t limit their store opening hours at the peak of their sub service. As a percentage Pret didn’t have anywhere near as many stores which were not participating in the subscription service either. But starting to take people’s subscription money & then actively doing what you can to limit people’s access to their coffees is super cynical.
