About

Lesson Complete is the all-in-one app for music teachers and the students they teach. Built for working musicians, traveling teachers, and the schools that hire them — every screen designed for the way music lessons actually happen. FOR TEACHERS • Today: see every lesson in one place. Tap to start, mark complete, log notes. • Calendar: drag to reschedule, swipe between weeks, switch between Day, Week, and Month with one tap. • Students: full roster with instrument, age, and status. Private notes only you see, auto-saved as you type. • In-Lesson Mode: open Pieces, Files, Lesson Logs, Practice History, and Profile without leaving the lesson. • Practice Tools: a metronome that keeps clicking when the screen locks, plus a tuner and practice timer. • Files & Music Library: stream PDFs of any score. Share files or whole folders with a student in one tap. • Driving Today: ETAs to every stop on today's route, computed on device, with one-tap Apple Maps. • Driving History: log trips for tax season and export a clean CSV. • Live Activities show your next lesson on the Lock Screen. • Face ID / Touch ID unlock keeps your roster private. FOR STUDENTS & FAMILIES • Today: today's lesson, this week's assignments, and recent practice at a glance. • Practice Logger: log time and pieces, and watch your weekly practice bar build up. • Pieces: every assigned piece with score, reference recording, and your teacher's notes. • Materials: every file your teacher has shared, organized by folder. • Messages: secure messaging with your teacher. • Billing: invoices and autopay, handled in seconds. BUILT TO BE TRUSTED • Your school's data never crosses tenant lines. • File downloads use short-lived signed links, never raw cloud URLs. • No tracking, and no third-party ad SDKs. A SUBSCRIPTION ON THE WEB UNLOCKS THE APP Lesson Complete on iOS pairs with your studio's existing Lesson Complete subscription on the web. Sign in with the same email and you're in. There are no purchases inside the app. Built by music teachers, for music teachers.

What's New in Lesson Complete

4.1.2

August 18, 2026

Your Showcase is now a real book. More → Showcase opens full-screen onto a lit stage holding every piece you've mastered, drawn in 3D. Swipe to turn a page, tap the open spread to play the piece — video first, with the composer, the date you mastered it, and your teacher's plaque. Turn your phone sideways and the book takes the whole screen. With Reduce Motion on, the same wall arrives as a plain grid. Teachers can open a student's Showcase from their Pieces tab, and families can now delete or replace a recording without going to the web. Also in this update: • Fixed: the app no longer says "Not signed in" when you clearly are. If you belong to more than one school — an owner with a second studio, a teacher on staff at two, a parent with kids at two — large parts of the app were refusing to load. Notification settings, time off, the lesson journal, instruments, student billing, files, practice logging, the shop and school branding all load normally now. Nothing about your login or your data changed. • Fixed: redeeming an invite now signs you in instead of bouncing you back to the login screen. If your phone needs to be verified as a new device, the app asks for the emailed 6-digit code right there and finishes signing you in. • Group classes do far more from the phone. Write one class log that every enrolled family sees, email class notes to families with a confirmation naming exactly who receives it, and see scheduled classes on the calendar even before anyone enrols. Marking attendance, changing teachers, saving a note and cancelling a class now each tell you whether they actually worked instead of failing silently. • Talk it out instead of typing it. A mic on class logs and on a lesson's notes turns up to five minutes of talking into tidy written notes. Nothing is saved until you press Save, and the recording is never stored. • You decide whether cancelling or rescheduling messages the family. A "Notify affected families" switch sits right in the confirm step, starts off, and spells out what will and won't be sent. • More of the web dashboard, on your phone: move a lesson to a different room, adjust makeup and lesson credits with a reason, keep your own private Files that nobody else at the school can see, read a student's signed policies, preview a review request before it sends, and give To-Do's a priority and a reminder. • Your calendar now flags a student's very first lesson, marks any lesson that has notes, and separates booking notes, student notes and your own private notes. • Push notifications carry your school's own logo instead of the app icon, and a new message shows who sent it — handy if your family attends two schools. • Saving your hours now tells you which already-booked lessons those hours no longer cover, room edits save as you type, and picking a room for a class time fills in its seat count for you.
