About
Letterbolt is a word game where the clues are pictures, not definitions.
Every puzzle shows you a handful of pictures. Those are the words, and the only words that count — there is no dictionary to guess at, and if a picture will not come to you, tap it and the game spells it out. Fire letters up into a grid hanging from the ceiling, and a word clears the moment it reads in a straight line through the tile you just fired.
Then the good part. The tiles hang, they do not stack. Clear the ones holding a clump in place and the whole clump comes down for free — a four-letter word can take thirty tiles with it. So this is not a game about knowing long words. It is about reading the structure and cutting it in the right place.
WHAT YOU GET
• A fresh board every day, generated on your device, with a streak and an archive of every day you have played
• 100 levels across 10 chapters, growing longer as you go
• Practice boards whenever you want one
• 19 achievements
• Undo as much as you like — every shot counts, but nothing is ever lost
NINE LANGUAGES ON THE BOARD
The clues are pictures, so the tiles do not have to be in the language you read the app in. Play the board in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean or Chinese, Simplified or Traditional — and set the interface language separately. A picture means the same thing everywhere.
YOUR OWN PICTURES
Add your own photographs and the words that go with them. They can appear in practice and in your daily board, and you can build them into a pack and hand it to somebody — one file, one person, straight from your phone. Words you add are filed under the board language you added them in, so your English words stay off your Italian boards.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO NETWORK
Letterbolt does not connect to anything. There is no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you play or photograph leaves your device. Both stores list this app as collecting no data, and that is because it collects none.
