About
Leveler evens out the audio in your videos and recordings. Drop in a file, and a few seconds later you have a copy with smooth, consistent speech levels. The video itself is never re-encoded.
It levels the way a careful audio engineer would: slowly, with a look ahead, and only when someone is speaking. Quiet passages come up, loud ones come down, and pauses stay quiet. There is no pumping, no breathing, and no squashed dynamics, because Leveler rides the level over seconds instead of reacting to every syllable.
WHAT IT DOES
• Levels MP4, MOV and M4V video, plus WAV, AIFF, M4A and MP3 audio
• Copies the video stream through untouched, byte for byte. Only the audio track is replaced, and the two stay perfectly in sync
• Lands on −16 LUFS with a −1 dBTP true-peak ceiling out of the box (the Apple Podcasts standard), with presets for YouTube, broadcast and more, or your own target
• Ignores room tone, breaths and gaps between sentences, so background noise never swells up when you stop talking
• Levels a 90-minute recording in seconds and queues several files at once
OUTPUT
• A new file next to the original (Mac) or in the Files app (iPhone and iPad) with “leveled” added to the name
• Keep stereo as stereo, or mix down to mono
• Optionally save a WAV of the leveled audio alongside a video
• On iPhone and iPad, pick videos straight from your Photos library and save the leveled result back to Photos
WHAT IT DOESN’T DO
No EQ, no noise reduction, no compression. Just the level ride and a true-peak limiter at the ceiling you choose.
