Getting worse everyday
I cannot even open this app anymore without an ad very first thing! Want to see the hourly? Another ad! Want to see the map? Another ad!!! Back to Home Screen? Yep, you got it! ANOTHER AD!! What’s worse, is that the ads are now getting stuck so that you have to exit the app and start all over again! I think I’ll be deleting this one and looking for one more accurate, less ads! That’s the other thing, the hourly forecast almost never matches up with what the daily forecast temp says! This used to be the best weather app and most accurate! I don’t know what’s happened to it (them), but they need to go back to the way they were! I HATE this app now!!!

Page keeps flipping upward at early hours in the morning when scrolling through the headlines. Later in the day it works fine. Please fix as it’s vey annoying and unreadable at 4:00 am

Not sure why this news app has such a low rating. I had the channel 27 app and could not stand it due to fullscreen ads that you could not close, a separate Weather app so you couldn’t get Weather information from inside the app, etc. While this app is not fancy and all glitchy, it provides great News information and Weather information and if you have push notifications active, they don’t blow you up all day with push notifications for a snowflake that fell like channel 27 does. Definitely prefer channel 18’s app over channel 27 any day. Nice job channel 18!

The worst
I get notifications from the app and as soon as you try to open the app the logo comes up then goes right back to your Home Screen. The app will not open. I’ve even went to the App Store and tried opening it from there and it does the same thing. Why have an app that won’t open. Whoever is over there I.T. Department needs fired. I’m deleting the app from my phone and suggest no one to down load it till they can get someone else in charge of it. Oh and by the way it’s not something that just started happening. It’s been like that for a very long time.

Does Not Update
Doesn’t update news or weather throughout the day or even from day-to-day. Very annoying. Radar also doesn’t work very often. Usually I use the app for our local ABC station to get updated news and the Weater Channel.
Fake news…
Stop telling lies to appeal to your political party and more people can trust your ability to report the news.
Freeze Up
This app repeatedly freezes up; impossible to see more than a couple of minutes of newscast on iphone.

If you want race baiting news with no research before they do a story then this is your app. Worst news source possible! This is literally the epitome of fake news! I wish I could give “0” stars.

Top stories
The top stories no longer refresh as of the 17th of January. You have to go to the sections tab and click on local news to find out what’s going on in or around town. Update much needed.

Pauses audio when opened.
Opening the app pauses any audio currently playing. I’m uninstalling but will follow the release notes for updates to see when usability is improved.
Used to be semi unbiased
I like honest, unbiased news. I used their news app for years but it has recently focused mainly on politics and they can’t report on that without being biased.
Current weather forecast and video
I wish this app would be current with the written forecast AND the video forecast updating. When you click on the weather tab, you still get Bill Meck’s forecast from the night before, rather than Tom’s more current forecast. Same thing on the weekends, with Jill. So I search on Facebook for their pages to get the up to date forecast, text and video. Other networks in Lexington can get this right. Why not Lex 18?

Disappointed
The old app was much easier to use. I used to check it several times a day, now maybe every other day. I find myself using the WKYT app as my primary news source now.
Disappointed
The app this replaced was much better and to add insult to injury they now ask you to subscribe, if you wish to eliminate the advertising. LEX18 has been my go to news source for a long time because their app was superior to both 27 and 36. This “upgrade” puts them on par with the others. If they must ask for subscriptions, fine, but they should do it on the previous app. This was a move in the wrong direction.
