About

Real-time captions, transcripts, translation and AI summaries. By default, captions and translation run on your device, and your audio isn't uploaded. Put your iPhone or iPad on the table: Lexicap AI turns what everyone says into live captions, translates them into your language, and keeps a transcript when the meeting ends. It also captions livestreams and translates conversations when you travel. TWELVE LANGUAGES, AI LIVE CAPTIONS AND TRANSLATION • Mandarin (including Mandarin mixed with English), English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Hindi • A few translation directions are not offered yet (such as Mandarin to Portuguese); the app says which • A meeting in one language: the translation sits under every caption • Two people, two languages: each line is translated for the other side. For Mandarin or English with Japanese or Korean, and Mandarin with Spanish or French, the app works out who is speaking on its own; for other pairs, tap the button for the language being spoken when the turn changes • More languages: subscribers can caption 45 more languages through the cloud, such as Russian, Indonesian and Arabic. Captions stay in the original language; some can be translated into English and a few into Mandarin, depending on tested quality IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC • The Mac app hears your microphone and the meeting app at once, marking captions “Me” and “Them”; one subscription covers all three ON YOUR DEVICE BY DEFAULT • Recognition and translation run on your iPhone or iPad (except recognition of Thai, Hindi and the More languages, which runs in the cloud); audio is not uploaded or recorded unless you turn that on • Subscribers can switch a session to the cloud for better recognition: the audio goes straight to Soniox, not through our server, and is not stored • Two recognition models download from our server after first launch, over Wi-Fi by default, with nothing that identifies you; the app works before they finish • No account, no sign-in TRANSCRIPTS AND AI SUMMARIES • Every session is saved on your device with its translations; copy or delete it • Name the speakers, press and hold a line to fix it, and search all your sessions • Export an SRT subtitle file with times and speakers • Turn on Keep recordings to tap a line and hear it again; recordings stay on this device, outside iCloud backups • Speakers are labelled when they can be told apart, and not when they cannot • AI meeting summary (subscribers): a summary, decisions and to-dos. An iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence on iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 uses Apple's Private Cloud Compute first; otherwise Anthropic's Claude writes it, through our server. Each summary says which one wrote it FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION • Free: 60 minutes a month (reset on the 1st, Taipei time) with every on-device feature; cloud recognition and meeting summaries need a subscription. With iCloud Keychain on, the minutes are shared across your iPhone, iPad and Mac on one Apple ID • Subscription: unlimited, plus 8 hours a month of cloud recognition (1 hour during the free trial); monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers • During the trial, Settings shows the day it ends, and the app can remind you two days before • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings • Terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ • Privacy policy: https://cimu.zlimn.com/en/privacy PLEASE NOTE • Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and translation need iOS or iPadOS 26.4 or later, an A14 chip or later, and Apple's language data • Translations are machine translations and are marked as such; summaries are written by AI and can be wrong • Use it only where you are allowed to record; recognition gets worse far from the speaker or when several people talk at once
