Innovative and original
In a very crowded market place of synthesis, this developer has unique spins in all their apps. This one is exceptional. Amazing drone generator.
Terrible UI
On 1G iPad Pro running 14.3 the controls are 'real' twitchy making accurate settings too much work. And if you're going to have pop-up windows, make them big enough, for crying out loud. The sound, ehh.
Love it
Just what I was looking for to explore granular and can’t beat the price!
Inadequate documentation
Although there is a documentation button, the resulting information is of poor quality and is too severely limited to be useful. What is the reason for this? Not all of the controls are explained well enough to be usable. What is the control method for serious use? Is it to be sequenced by midi, or must I still stand here and manually prod around?
The main criticism is that there is no apparent way of getting the sound I am working with into this app. Although I keep deleting all of the pointless unwanted samples that come with the app in preparation to load my own in when I am informed how, the unwanted ones keep returning next time. This app is invisible from audiobus, and offers no detectable means of either importing a sound or sample or track into the app, or accepting a real-time input audio stream for granular resynthesis processing. It can neither be a source nor an effect nor a destination, for my existing unprocessed sound, which makes this completely useless except as a stupid toy noisemaker — in which case why have I been charged money for such nonsense?
