Not User Friendly

The new app is harder to navigate. I had to ask a store employee to help me find my list. And the absolute worst is you cannot use your phone number. I can no longer send my husband to the store because the app is on my phone and you can no longer just put in your phone number.

Horrible experience

What does Lidl even have an app?? If customers are already getting the lowest Prices then we shouldn’t need one. No? (I suspect Germans do not require an app). Needless to say, I couldn’t download in the store because obviously you all are saving rent by getting such a terrible location. It took more than 20 minutes as it kept glitching. My advice- be different, drop the app and gamified savings, be a quality high value, low price grocery store. Thats the money lane.

IT SUCKS

You really screwed this up!
I AM AN OLD TIME CUSTOMER AND HAVE THE HARDEST TIME TO EVEN SIGN UP FOR THIS. IT SEEMS TO ME, YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN KEEPING YOUR SENIOR CUSTOMERS. I WILL PROBABLY NOT BE CONTINUING TO DO MY SHOPPING AT LIDL.
HALLO ALDI.

Lidl Plus sucks!

Another day, execs and hire-ups ruin a good thing out of greed. In today's times, everything costs more, and every day people are getting less and less for their dollar. You took away a points system where we can earn coupons that equal money off our purchases to a point system where we can earn free Lidl items????? And the items are ridiculously overpriced. It's trash! I guess I've got to find a new store that has better savings.

Used for first time BUT

Everything went well until checking out with 15 items. Initially the $5 off $30 coupon worked. However I had 2 reduced items (25% off) that didn’t scan properly. Had to wait for assistance. She adjusted the two items but then the $5 off $30 coupon discount disappeared. Clerk hadn’t manually enter it even after I rescanned my virtual card/QR code. Fortunately the store wasn’t too busy. Lidl needs to fix the bugs before rolling out a new App. Old one worked fine

No wallet support, no dark mode

I understand you want people to use the app, but sometimes I want to scan, tap to pay and be out. It's lame that I have to open the app to scan the code and we don't have an option to add it to wallet. What's also lame is not having a dark mode option.

Not great

Don’t see a whole lot of improvement if any, from the previous app. As mentioned no search bar in the home page or location of item. Not sure why the weekly ad is 40 plus pages long in the app. Why not have a copy of the circular? I don’t have the patience or time to scroll through 40 pages when the paper circular is 4 pages long.

Another “Improvement” Fails

Both my wife and I have tried to implement this app, but to no success. Lidl has been my #1 grocery but that was back when they put the customer first. Sadly, this failed app intro is just one more example of losing their connection with the customer. I mean who introduces an app that two experienced adults can’t open - no verification cade sent by sms or email?!?

Not the best update

I really loved the old Lidl app. It’s a lot harder to shop with Lidl Plus. Some of the features aren’t working properly (like sorting sale items by category) and with so many start dates (three different sales applied when I was there) it’s hard to use. Seeing prices on the shopping list would be ideal!

Does not work in our local Lidl

The reception is awful in our local Lidl, and for some reason it insists on loading Lidl plus fresh on each login, so it slows down the queue if everyone’s having the same issue - in this day and age, why not just allow it to be stored in apple wallet like the rest of the loyalty cards?

Not an upgrade

The app is not an upgrade from the previous version of Lidl’s rewards program. Consistent errors in searching for inventory of items, having to force quit the app and restart. Not intuitive in finding the weekly flyers.

New layout can be confusing but great app

The new layout takes some time to get used to figure out where the deals and coupons are. Other than that, it is great. I do wish though that you can see the product description and price for items you had to the shopping list. That was beloved feature before the update that I wish they would bring back. Similar to like the Aldi app because then I can see a price estimate of the items in my cart - this would be so helpful!

Slow

Good user interface and user friendly. It takes a long time to open up, and that affects a lot.

Original App Was Better

Why did they remove the search bar? They should have just kept the original app.

New App

Simple to use and better product graphics overall. Like the new earning options

Needs Photos

The new app and program seem to be okay. I don’t like that you don’t have images for items. For example, you get one free frozen item, but it just gives you a list. No images

can you create a one click to activate all coupons?

Coupons don’t keep in active states and annoying the need to clip each one at a time. Can’t you creat a button to activate all coupons, or better, make all coupons automatically active when using the app? please make it user friendly.

Lots of great coupons

Saved over $10 on a small order of groceries. Great store very convenient

No way to change password

Lidl forced all users to download lidl plus app. The new app is accessing your browser history. No way to restrict this activity. Trying to change my password I hit the wall: two identical passwords “did not match”. Store people could not help. Suggested to call customer service on Sunday. Refused to apply plus savings to my cart. Never had such low experience in any retail in USA in 30 years. Shame.

All ads

New app not great focus is on ads. No longer shows location of product or if low stock. Also shows items they don’t have in store. 😞🙁
