Good but could be better
Overall, this is a good and speedy app. But I took away two stars for the following reasons:
1. No support for landscape mode on iPad.
2. When searching for an item to buy in-store (rather than delivery or pickup), the app tells you which aisle it is in BUT when you shop, the cart does NOT list the aisle, forcing you to tap on the item to see what aisle it is in and then go back to the cart again.
3. The cart is NOT sorted by the aisle items are found, causing you to go up and down needlessly in the store.
4. When you search for an item it tells what aisle it is in but also the section in that aisle. Yet, the aisles do NOT show section numbers.

The worst app
This app never shows you your last pickup order. There’s no reason the app should lag this much, unless it’s on purpose, so you can’t compare what they charged you for and didn’t put in the order. Don’t trust the app
Substitutes email is WRONG & Doesn’t remember substitutes!
This getting worse. Dropping review from 3 to 1 star. Fix these and it goes back up. Fix them all and it is a 5!
The “ Approve substitutions by” email for a pickup shows the wrong number of the out of stock item that is being replaced. The pdf attached to the email shows the correct numbers. For example, if I ordered 10 GT brand kombucha and you only have 6 and you will substitute 3 Giant brand ones the email says 10 are out of stock and you will substitute 3 of the other brans. The PDF file attached to the email correctly says that 4 are out of stock not 10 and that 3 will be replaced. Both should say 4 are out of stock.
Also, the new pickup procedure for online orders is terrible for someone on foot. It takes longer than just walking up to the dedicated side door. Also, even once you tell the new mini-website you are on foot it asks for your PARKING SPACE NUMBER. If you are walking to the store, you have to both say you are there in the app AND CALL the pickup people in person or you will wait 20+ minutes until they call you.
Also: Overall a great app, but every time you check out you need to manually select all of your substitutions and add your notes. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Other grocery stores remember what you select from order to order for substitutions.
Giant is SO hard to shop for pickup compared to their competitors! Fix this please. Make it easy to give you our money every week.

Suggestion to Improve
The Giant app is mostly helpful, however in the Shopping section it would be most helpful to have a ‘Save for Later’ option for the cart.
Ugh
Should not need password to use app on phone. Interface clumsy. Can’t find advertised $5 discount.
