App sucks
The weekly ad is never available when I log on to the app

I use the Giant app frequently to check for the weekly add and to clip coupons. The app is easy to use, and rarely any issues with it.

I have not been able to use this app for weeks since I’ve gotten it. A page comes up when you search that just says error. If you click on something from their page, it just says technical difficulties. This has been can’t possibly recommend this.
Good but could be better
Overall, this is a good and speedy app. But I took away two stars for the following reasons:
1. No support for landscape mode on iPad.
2. When searching for an item to buy in-store (rather than delivery or pickup), the app tells you which aisle it is in BUT when you shop, the cart does NOT list the aisle, forcing you to tap on the item to see what aisle it is in and then go back to the cart again.
3. The cart is NOT sorted by the aisle items are found, causing you to go up and down needlessly in the store.
4. When you search for an item it tells what aisle it is in but also the section in that aisle. Yet, the aisles do NOT show section numbers.

The worst app
This app never shows you your last pickup order. There’s no reason the app should lag this much, unless it’s on purpose, so you can’t compare what they charged you for and didn’t put in the order. Don’t trust the app
Substitutes email is WRONG & Doesn’t remember substitutes!
This getting worse. Dropping review from 3 to 1 star. Fix these and it goes back up. Fix them all and it is a 5!
The “ Approve substitutions by” email for a pickup shows the wrong number of the out of stock item that is being replaced. The pdf attached to the email shows the correct numbers. For example, if I ordered 10 GT brand kombucha and you only have 6 and you will substitute 3 Giant brand ones the email says 10 are out of stock and you will substitute 3 of the other brans. The PDF file attached to the email correctly says that 4 are out of stock not 10 and that 3 will be replaced. Both should say 4 are out of stock.
Also, the new pickup procedure for online orders is terrible for someone on foot. It takes longer than just walking up to the dedicated side door. Also, even once you tell the new mini-website you are on foot it asks for your PARKING SPACE NUMBER. If you are walking to the store, you have to both say you are there in the app AND CALL the pickup people in person or you will wait 20+ minutes until they call you.
Also: Overall a great app, but every time you check out you need to manually select all of your substitutions and add your notes. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Other grocery stores remember what you select from order to order for substitutions.
Giant is SO hard to shop for pickup compared to their competitors! Fix this please. Make it easy to give you our money every week.

Suggestion to Improve
The Giant app is mostly helpful, however in the Shopping section it would be most helpful to have a ‘Save for Later’ option for the cart.

Should not need password to use app on phone. Interface clumsy. Can’t find advertised $5 discount.
Disaster
I’ve been shopping at Giant for quite some time. When I go to look at my past purchases, there are none. This has also been going on for quite some time. It appears that nobody is really maintaining this app any longer. I think I’m going to switch my supermarket. Nobody needs this.
It won’t search
App is terrible always says error when I search up anything
Awful App
I downloaded the app so I could shop in my local store. I enabled location settings so I could ensure I selected the right store. The app defaulted to a store in Maryland 250. I put in the local ZIP Code manually it said no stores in the area. In no way could I get it to select any other store Other than the one that was 250 miles away from me. This is an awful app a reminder of why I rarely shop at giant.

Obnoxious update required
I’m standing in my Giant. I can’t find what I want. I pull out the app to see what (crowded with merchandise so that customers have to slalom single file through the) aisle I might find it in. Nope, I have to update the app while I am standing there. Can it then tell me where I might look for what it considers a “speciality item”? Nope, I have to go in search of an employee and ask. More stellar examples of the way Giant treats its customers

Giant you are the leader
I’m a loyal customer. Even though prices of some items I can’t afford now. Before the “Age of Aquarius,” (internet, social media, cell phones etc). I enjoyed shopping. But the last time I shopped I had to put some items back. With your app I don’t have to risk being embarrassed at the checkout line. It’s easy to follow even for seniors. The location I really like. I know the items on sale (and qualifying equals), pictures of their size, sale period dates, limit amounts and if my purchase amounts qualify for the sale, shopping list, from there I can place digital/clipped coupons, but best of all it gives me my sub total. Thank you

Very glitched
Fix it
Terrible App
The app continues to clear my cart over and over. Added a whole list of items 2x over and then realized the app was removing it all for no reason. And It took over an hour to just “verify” my email. Had to use the browser version.
Mostly great
The only problem I encounter is trying to find a current order
