Simple yet interesting

So far what I needed was to read fixtures in a classroom and worked for this simple task

Need to pay

You need to pay to use anything beyond lux.

Just right

Way off!

Using a spider farmer g5000 grow light sitting at 24” above canopy pulling 200 watts at 40% in 4th week after seed popped soil surface. Leaves are praying but level with eye. This app says I’m at 70 ppfd. Wouldn’t suggest this app to nobody. Doesn’t even reach suggested ppfd sitting right under light at 100%. You use this and you’ll fry your plants crispy for sure.

Excellent light measure

Very easy to use and excellent light meter. It is also reasonably accurate and no big fluctuations when you hold your phone steadily in front or under the source as the case may be. Works for LED, incandescent, natural sun etc. No required diffuser attachments. No muss no fuss. Totally decent application!

Response from developer

We are grateful for your positive feedback! We are constantly working to improve our light meter, and your support is very important to us. Thank you for choosing our app!

Poor App Support

The App has no instructions or documentation to show how to use the meter. Also super limited capabilities unless you buy the paid version. I will be deleting the app from my device.

Measures much lower values than a calibrated light meter

I tried to see if this could replace a calibrated light meter, but the answer is a definite NO. The measured values are 1/2 to 1/3 of what the light meter reads for a LED test source. At very high flux levels (~10 klux) the values are lower by a factor of 10.

Nah

Inaccurate and misleading with no instructions or diffuser settings.

inaccurate for grow lights

I tried this app with high hopes but the ppfd is so much off from what spider farmer claims that it’s unusable. also have to pay monthly feels like a rip off
