Can’t update position
The App sticks on whatever the first location you are at when you install. So if you travel 200 miles away, it’s still stuck on that first location and will not update. All permissions were granted as well..

Warning, do not buy
Well, I wish I could have gotten some support or a refund but for some reason this app is not eligible for a refund through Apple so you can’t even tell them what scammy or problematic stuff is happening. I paid $10 for Pro and nothing changed. I’m using an iPhone 16 pro. I tried going to the support website directly but it comes up with an invalid security certificate warning and says it’s insecure and may be compromised by people wanting to steal my passwords and info. Great. In the app when you tap the Support tab.. literally NOTHING happens. Also in the app when you tap FAQ/Help literally NOTHING happens. This actually happens with several of the other “options” as well. Unfortunately in the few minutes I tried using the app after paying for Pro.. nothing changed. I literally got nothing at all for paying for Pro. The only thing the app shows clearly is a map with differing light pollution.. but, shocker, the areas that have dark skies are not cities and the map doesn’t show info for those areas so you can’t even look them up elsewhere. I was totally locked into the city I am currently in. I could only get info about the city I am currently in. I could see no info for any other place on the map. You can drop a radius circle around anywhere you tap on the map but again.. no info on that place appears.. so what’s the point? If you use the search feature, the 1 time it didn’t just automatically close on me, it showed NO INFO about the city I was looking up. This is the most pointless app I’ve ever installed or I’m for the first time in 47 years learning I’m a complete idiot incapable of even tapping buttons correctly to reveal the info behind them. So annoying when you try to support a small app and get No Service, No Support, No Refund. Thanks for stealing my money!

API Error
The app used to work, but now no map shows up, and it says there is an API error “Aurora Info Server Error” even after I updated the app.

I have had this for a long time now and this is soo useful I always use this for stargazing they became a lil more pay to win but it’s still useful
Good app, old data
Data is from 2016/2017, it would be huge if they updated that like some other apps/sites. Otherwise it’s a nice map that’s clear and easy to use.

Just what I needed
3.5 stars; lacks a scale
Nice and responsive from a map perspective, but there’s no legend for the colors to link them even notionally to Bortle class. So, it works fine for seeing where you need to drive for dark skies (vs towns and cities) but gives no guidance for differentiating between two locations of similar darkness.

Light Pollution Display
Doesn’t display light pollution on map regardless of zoom level when using VPN. Once turned off the light pollution shows up. Just something to be aware of.
What happened?
I updated the app and now I can’t click to see what the Bortle rating is for a location anymore? Are there new directions on how to do this??

Cloud Coverage
What’s the deal with the cloud coverage feature? The pop-up said to try in 50 minutes; then I checked again and it said to check in five minutes, when I checked 10 minutes later it said to check again in 55 minutes!
