Handy app - but……..
Most times I try to log in (which is most days) I keep getting the annoying “incorrect username or password” - even though the web version has never changed and works fine.

This app is meant to reporting, ease the stress of going into the system for simple numbers. But it never works! Do better!
Doesn’t remember login
This is the most basic app that offers little ‘insights’ and desperately needs to be updated. It doesn’t remember your login details so you have to do it every time. Basics like Face ID have been around for years. It always gives an error when you log in and have to do it twice. The most basic stat any restaurant owner wants is a list of weekly takes. It can’t do that. Do better Lightspeed. They must make millions from insights extra payments but this app hasn’t been updated in over TWO YEARS.

Crashes at least every 36-48 hours
Constant logging out, when only inactive for a short time. The app crashes and presents multiple error messages at least every 2 days. Limited information displayed. All round, a truly awful app. It’s painful to have to pay for it.
Useless app, errors more often than not
I’m paying a lot of money to use lightspeed (kounta) the least they can do is creating a functioning app - this one’s been around for years and it’s never seen an improvement.

Unusable
Is ok when it works, but for the past two months it is unable to get past an unknown login error so is now useless and deleted.
Utterly hopeless!
It doesn’t work. Nine times out of ten on my phone and both iPads I just get an error message and it won’t load. Then randomly it will work for a day, then go back to error messages. As a business owner it’s critical I can see my numbers and I pay Lightsoeed good money for its services. No support. No help. Terrible company.

Generates errors daily
Very annoying paid app, it generates errors all most every time I use, then I have to log out and log in again. Sometimes even logging out doesn’t help and I have to delete the app and reinstall.

Basic but, good
Has most of the info required to do a z-read apart from money in/out. So, can be used but, the biggest let down is no landscape mode, which is annoying when accessing from our POS on ipad.

I’ve had this app now for 3 years to piggy back my POS. Though recently the app crashes every 4-5 times it’s open. I have to delete the app and then reload it.
Further more the time clocks with Kounta after 4 years still haven’t been updated so you can set a day to be your trading hours. I have a bar open till 3am yet it’s never a End of Day figure as it uses midnight.
Love the cloud base but after 4 years it’s not developing quick enough to stave off H&L for a hotel/pub/bar operation

Personal assistant in my pocket
Whilst recently in North America over the festive season, this powerful yet simple app allowed me to keep a close eye on the business metrics that matter the most. Recommend!
Simplistic and not very useful.
There are a few major issues with this app, aside from the fact that two of the three tabs at the bottom are for features “coming soon”.
One is that it’s really just an app for glancing at sales, where most of the detailed reporting is still via the main app.
Secondly, the periods it compares against are fairly opaque. So you can see that you’re up 12% on the day the week before, but the graph doesn’t show you actual hour by hour periods, and the line graph is totally wrong when it comes to the monthly view.
Worst of all, if you pick the daily view, it breaks down comparisons by hour, but compares your sales versus the previous week up to the end of that hour. So, for instance, if you look at the app at 11:59, you might be up 5% on the previous week, by as soon as you get to 12:01, you’re down 20% because it’s taking the last week’s sales up to 1pm. So while it’s a live revenue report, the comparisons are totally useless. It does this with weekly too, comparing you to the week before at the end of day, so you can’t compare until close.
This wouldn’t be too bad, but if you’re checking on sales at end of day, you may as well just open the main-very slow- app.
I assume the $40 per month is for the reporting available in the main app, but it’s too complicated for me to have time with. I’ll stick to the simple reporting of the normal plan.

Not worth it
Not worth $40 per month just to view ones performance. Should be included on the standard plan for kounta users. Just a money grab after years of waiting and relying on extracts this is ridiculous
