Frustrating and outdated POS system
Lightspeed is honestly one of the most frustrating POS systems I’ve ever used in a restaurant. The app feels outdated, slow and unnecessarily complicated. Simple tasks that should take seconds often require multiple steps, which is ridiculous in a busy service environment.
For a system that claims to be modern, it lacks many practical features and the overall workflow is not intuitive at all. Instead of making restaurant operations easier, it often does the opposite and slows things down.
In 2026, a POS system should be faster, simpler and much more functional. This app seriously needs a major redesign and improvement.

The Worst Pos System Ever
This is the worst pos system I have ever used in my entire life. It updates on the busiest time of the week on Friday night. Keeps loading on so many times.
That blue damn button
Can you please remove that big blue upgrade plan button, I’m sooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of hitting that button by mistake every time I use your app. Move it to an area where it’s not in our way. I’d give you five stars because the app is great to use except for that so if you fix it I will change my rating

Forced loyalty customers to use payment services
Have been using Lightspeed for many years and got contacted to forced to use payment services and charged fees for payment services even though I refused to use when I have already got that services from other provider.
Feedback message to product owner that it is not ok to for loyalty customer to payment for the services they are not use, it is illegal to charge fees for the services the customer did not signed up.

Worst Support and Service
Lightspeed have the worst support and customer service I have experience in and business I have dealt with. After purchasing you are left on your own and given surface skimming youtube video to explain the set up. I called support to ask how to set up a particular feature needed for our business to which I was told was impossible to do as lightspeed didn’t have that functionality. Soon after a neighbouring restaurant had the functionality I required and they showed me how to set it up. From then on every time I called support and they were unable to help me, I called an industry friend who was able to solve my issue. Do not bother with this product. We are a newly opened restaurant and as soon as we are in a position to, we will transition away from Lightspeed.
