Pretty good, export locked behind pro

This app has some really nice features but for some reason the ability to export your stuff to print, etc. is locked behind pro. I’ll have to resort to screenshots for now.

Really, I have to ask why it’s behind pro, if from many of the reviews I’ve seen I’ve heard that it’s simply pushed people away. I think that most people who pay for pro are doing it for the actual pro features, not simply for export.

Still, good designing app overall

Waiting for refund

I had purchased Vectornator, and now I have to pay a subscription? Either give me the app I paid for or refund my money please.

AI files doesn’t work

Your first image shows AI. I tried to open two files I downloaded from Adobe Stock and it doesn’t open at all. Disappointment.

It’s Fairly Good

It’s a fair to good quality for your money. Worth the buy.

Unexpected Charges Against Free Projects

★☆☆☆☆

I installed Linearity Curve to learn vector editing as a complete beginner. I downloaded several SVG files to my iPad for practice.

I did not open the files from within Linearity or import them into the app. I simply went to the folder in the iPad Files app and tapped an SVG so I could view it. Because Linearity had automatically associated itself with SVG files, it opened instead of a normal preview.

Each time this happened, it counted against my limited free project allowance. There was no warning that simply opening an SVG file from the Files app would use one of my free projects, and nothing during the initial setup indicated that I should change any file associations or permissions to avoid this.

As a first-time user trying to learn a new skill, this was frustrating. If opening your own SVG files from the Files app consumes free projects, that should be made clear before it happens. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for me to uninstall the app and look for another vector editor.

Cash grab

Seriously I have to pay 8 dollars a week for VECTORS? I could have AI make that In a second. This company is so stingy

Constantly crashes

Update: the app launches now and it’s just completely frozen. you guys need to work on this.

Original review: I remember there was a time the app didn’t crash every 2 minutes. It makes working on a piece extremely frustrating. I’m not even working with many layers & the design itself isn’t complex at all.

Please fix this issue.

Top Contender

I’ve tried several different vector apps, and Linearity Curve is definitely a top contender. Its interface is well designed and a very comfortable streamlined environment to work in. Its environment just feels nice. Its tools are very easy and intuitive to use. It also features an auto trace function that allows me to translate any raster image into a vector image that I can add further vector elements to. All in all, this app is definitely worth trying out, it may turn out to be your favorite vector app.

Moderate Functionality

At least tech support is responds, Not entirely helpful, but they respond. I’d say it’s about a 50/50. They need to improve and update their tutorials, which are outdated by a couple of years, and lackluster anyway.

Not free!

Spent multiple hours making something and have just discovered there is no way of exporting anything you make in any way. It looked like the only restrictions for free use at first was having to save in the cloud and that you could only have 8 projects at a time.
Very misleading.

READ if u GET NOOOW

Don’t hav time to make good review NOW but THIS IS THE SINGLE GREATEST APP I CAN LAUNCH ON HOMESCREEN AND I HAVE CANVA, PROCREATE DREAMS, DA VINCI RESOLVE.

Not useful.

Now I can’t open local files on my iPad without a subscription. Greed & Shame.

Basic functions lacking

I tried shifting from Adobe to this and found that basic functions don’t function as expected. I tried building simple shapes and merging them, then filling each cross section with a color. Utter frustration. To be fair Im sure it can be done. But not the way that makes sense to me without a ton of extra work.

Holding my artwork hostage

Was a vectornator user… loved the app. When they changed the name and added the bloated UI, I went back to Illustrator for the most part.

Now they’re forcing account sign-up and I can’t even get my files without paying a subscription! Predatory tactics from developers who destroyed an elegant and useful app.

Misleading waste of time

No where in the description does it let you know exports are behind a paywall. 60$ a year is insane also not mentioned at all in the description.

Never mind the AppStore review says free, not free trial nor how unusable the free version is.

A poor financial decision for lacking features.

Even when this was a free app, it could never beat Affinity Designer. It has all the basic tools, but lacked something to make it truly good. I tried so hard to love this app because it has good core features, but I failed because it could never bridge the final gap there to have everything needed. But it was alright because it’s hard to complain when something is free. Now that they got greedy and went into a subscription model, this is NOT worth it. For around the same cost of a one month subscription, you can get the Affinity FOR FREE, but with more extensive tools, support, easy to use, etc. Not to mention, those who bought full versions before now can’t access it. This greedy company screwed over their loyal customers and stole something their customers bought, instead of making a new app for the new subscription model. For the user, this app is simply a poor practical design/time-wide, and even worse financial decision. You got better choices out there than this.

They hold your work hostage until you pay.

Quality app. Well made. Intuitive.
What I disagree with is that unless you sign up for a Pro plan, your work cannot be exported, printed or even saved to your iPad!
This doesn’t make me feel good as a creator.
I’m also not thrilled about their data collection practices. Contact info, Usage data & Identifiers all linked to the user??! So greedy.
That’s a no from me.

Nice surprise

Honestly didn’t expect much, but this app is very polished. I was making usable vector art the same evening I installed it.

Responsive Tech Support, Fairly Intuitive Interphase, Fair Functionality

Clean uncluttered interphase, fair functionality, decent support. I would have given it five stars however, the tool for vectorizing an imported image does not do a great job of maintaining image fidelity to the original
