What's New in Lingo Widget

4.5.11

October 24, 2026

New: My Lists. Make your own word lists, or start with a ready list such as Travel or Feelings. Add any word you want to learn and see its meaning right away, then put a list on your Home Screen from your Lingo widget's settings. Each widget can now also have its own appearance, style and flags. We fixed a crash some users saw when opening Settings and made the app more stable. Widgets also fit better on smaller iPhones.

Good way to learn German vocabulary

Good way to learn vocabulary but

Nice App but incomplete necessary information about words

The very appealing layout led me to believe that this might be a groundbreaking innovation, but there are no options to view articles (which is crucial for learning Danish) or to find out what part of speech a word belongs to (e.g. a verb or a noun). Whilst this makes the app a nice idea, the many questions it raises mean it isn’t really useful.

Response from developer

Hi Sophielanne, thank you for the thoughtful feedback and your kind words about the design. You’re right that grammatical information such as noun articles (en/et) and parts of speech is especially important when learning Danish. We’ve taken note of your feedback and will consider how to make word details more useful in a future update. Thank you for helping us improve Lingo Widget!

Great widget I use everyday

I love the widget and being able to quickly access a word (or more) a day with pronunciation

Response from developer

Thanks so much for sharing that! It is great to hear you enjoy the widget and the quick access to daily words with pronunciation. If you ever have ideas to make it even more helpful, suggestions are always welcome.

Terrible app from bad developer👎🏻

I do not recommend this app. The developer initially offered and sold lifetime access, but then that lifetime access was effectively taken away from users: restoring in-app purchases does not work, and the app still keeps showing limits as if no purchase had ever been made.
Even with premium access, the vocabulary here is very poor. No matter which difficulty level you choose, the app keeps cycling through the same small set of very basic words, around 100-150, and possibly even fewer. For a paid product, this is an extremely weak standard.
I do not recommend paying for this. Before purchasing, it is better to carefully read reviews on different platforms, because there are a great many dissatisfied users.
…
