Once you subscribe you will use this application several times, then you get disappointed and annoyed to change records, they’re not following one by one. There are no any text or scripts, just audio records by subjects. Then you’ll forget about it till they charge you again by the end of the year. And this is only your responsibility to remember about app. Between thousands of tasks you have to remember about their app , or unsubscribe to don’t forget. If you subscribed on the website, not in app - you never detect this subscription in your Phone settings to remove. They will not sent you any notification before the date they charge you. Just charge and keeping silence, maybe client again forgets?
If you forget your password - their website doesn’t return automatically any form to reset one. Support reacts in a couple of days. Manually they’re managing this process. They rejected my request to refund my money. I requested the same day their charged me.
I didn’t like this app and had negative experience with Listenable. I feel like to be scammed. Be aware

Watch the free trial trap!
They did not send a courtesy email to warn that a payment would be taken after the free trial 😡.
These courses are presently nicely and the app & website are easy to navigate. However, the courses are indeed ‘bite-sized’, so somewhat narrow and superficial. There are other platforms to learn from in much more depth—even the internet.

Not very listenable
Had to give up using this app - thought it was my phone and/or network, but have changed phone over the course of the subscription and ruled out both these things. App crashes part way through listening to a course or the course doesn’t start at all.
Be aware!
They offer o free trial but it’s not free, they charge for that and after one year they renew without let you know.
The course is like a audio book not a course!

I can’t believe I paid $89.90 for this App. It is not worthy. I would say it is very annoying. The recordings go so fast that they are very annoying.

Great app, but..
This app use to be able to continuously play chapters and so on. Now it’ll stop after a chapter finishes and I have to press play to continue. Now let’s say there could be 15 chapters, I would have to continually press play 15 times. Also before this problem, there was the feature to have all chapters play in a continuous way without having to stop. If problem does not resolve, I will not pay another year.

DO NOT DO THE FREE TRIAL.
I did a free trial and they end it in a year subscription if you forget to cancel it even a day into the subscription. I tried to get a refund a month ago (literally days into the subscription period) and I just saw that I still have it. So I tried to cancel it again today and there’s not even a refund option now, probably because they didn’t give me the refund the first time and now it’s past a certain amount of time so I am likely ineligible.
This makes no sense. If I am on month 1 of a 12 month subscription, I should be able to get 11 months refunded.
Literally a scam.

I used it for 2 days. Did not find the content engaging.
Misleading pricing
I’m a UK based reviewer. I downloaded listenable thinking some content would be free, with some paid for. Turns out the only free content is a trial. Fair enough, not for me thanks. But then listenable sent me an email with a deal on pricing but it was in US $, but when you go on the app the deal doesn’t appear in the UK. When I worked out the exchange rate, you pay more in the UK than the US it seems.
Not gonna bother paying for content from people who ‘create’ lessons, when I’ve no idea if they know what they’re talking about. It doesn’t inspire confidence when one bio of these people says ‘I’m no expert, I just live to make peoples lives better’. Why would I pay to listen to people if they aren’t experts on their topics?

FRAUD ALERT
I was charged $89.99 for renewal of this app. I got it for a deal. I listened to a few things and lost interest. I forgot about it. I reviewed my Apple Subscriptions and they were never listed on there. Had I known I would have cancelled before the subscription renews. I have no idea how they charged me for the renewal since they didn’t have my new card information. I am disputing with the bank and have proof this app was not even listed in my subscriptions. I have contacted them but they say it’s auto renewal, but they aren’t even listed as a subscription and I did not authorize my new card to be used. ***Fraud Alert***

The app is terrible! I hate it...
Can find better content elsewhere, not worth the hassle
Instructors are a mixed bag, some are decent, but quite a few are painful to listen to, often due to vocal quality, but also a fair amount of the lesson content seems trite. There appears to be minimal quality control when it comes to instruction, so I found it wasn’t worth the hassle to try and sift through to find decent courses or instructors. I love the idea, and even the UI is good, but the overall execution of content is disappointing.
That being said, I did want to like the app, and I was hoping to use this on long car rides, but no way to download the lessons so it’s entirely dependent on an internet connection. I found it’s not really worth listening to in any other context. There may be some hidden gems, but they remain hidden.
The biggest issue is the lack of transparency for cancelling. The state you can cancel through iTunes subscriptions, but if you happen to sign up through the website, that is not an option for you and there is no other option mentioned in the app help section. This means it’s unclear how to cancel if you exclusively use listenable through the app as I did. It leaves you with no clear information on your subscription status, no email notifications or receipts, and you be be billed unexpectedly as I was, and left with unhelpful customer service in these circumstances.

Not something I would pay for again. Meant to cancel before the trial was over. Content is eh, especially when youtube is free.

I love the concise lessons available in a wide range of courses. Whether I have 5 mins or an hour I can keep learning.

this is perfect for my very short attention span! also love listening to the different courses while cleaning, riding the bus to university, lying down… however as a student, it is quite pricey :|
Listenable for Free
It would have been better if here was also a transcript of the words so exsample when there is a clip I want to highlight if it saved as text it would be great.
Great app
I enjoy this listening app. My only wish is to make the courses downloadable so you can listen offline.
