About

Little Air tells you what the air is doing where you are, and helps you choose when to go outside. WHAT THE AIR IS DOING See the current US AQI for your neighbourhood with an hour-by-hour forecast for the next two days. Every reading says where it came from: measured by a named monitoring station, or modelled for your wider area when no instrument is close enough. Little Air never shows you a model's estimate under a station's name. PLAN TIME OUTSIDE Pick an activity and how long you want, and Little Air compares the forecast across the hours ahead so you can pick a better window. Save a plan and check it again before you head out - forecasts change, and the app tells you when yours has. ON YOUR HOME AND LOCK SCREEN Home screen widgets in several sizes and a Lock Screen widget keep the current number and the hours ahead a glance away. Ask Siri for the air quality and get an answer without opening the app. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS Air quality data is uneven. Some cities have dozens of reference-grade monitors; most of the world has none. Little Air serves measured readings where they exist and a modelled estimate from the Copernicus atmosphere service everywhere else - and it always says which you are looking at, how old it is, and who provided it. YOURS, AND OPTIONAL Saved places, plans and preferences stay on your device. An account is optional: sign in with Apple or Google only if you want to, and delete it from Settings whenever you like. Data sources include OpenAQ contributors and CAMS (Copernicus) via Open-Meteo. Attribution is shown on every reading that requires it.

What's New in Little Air

1.2

October 30, 2026

Little Air can now tell you when the air changes. Turn on alerts in Settings and you'll hear when the air near you crosses into unhealthy territory — once, not repeatedly. It waits for a genuine rise rather than a flicker, won't tell you the same thing twice in a day, and holds anything that happens overnight until the morning. You'll also get a short morning summary that leads with the best time to be outside today. Both can be switched off in Settings. Nearby now centres on where you are and shows you on the map, and the air layer is drawn as one smooth field instead of separate circles. Settings is simpler, more places now show their own city's illustration, and the first screen fits better on smaller displays.
