Been using this and testing it for a month now. The app has been logging out after a few hours. I thought the recent update would address this but apparently not.

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your negative experience with the LE mobile app. The login sessions are set to expire after several hours due to a security policy. There is a way to extend the sessions expiration time, and we are currently working on building a feature that would help solve this pain point.
