How LMS client should look like
That’s a powerful tool to use with LM Studio. Active development in progress. Kudos to author. I want to see more improvements to image generation with ComfyUI and I’ll definitely buy PRO version, as it became my work-on-the-couch favorite.

New chat Clutter
Opening a new chat has an extreme excess overflow of screen clutter for no actual reason. I am unable to close my keyboard since I can’t tap on the once empty space to see if there are spelling mistakes or errors due to this annoyance. Please remove the useless scrolling prompts upon new chat creation or at least a toggle to remove them. (They completely erase and rewrite the prompt if they are tapped, even by accident making them a bane.)

This is now fixed in v 1.8.3 and also I have added a toggle under Settings -> Appearances -> New Chat Suggestions. You can turn it off to have cleaner new chat.

Worst local LM client
I'm not going to document every problem as there are many. This app requires a desktop companion app besides just LM Studio. Because I have other apps that connect to LM studio, this is a strange quirk considering this is the official app. It also doesn't automatically start with comp. The model also unloads after a moment of inactivity if you change windows. There's also a bunch of image generation features bolted on that don't work out of the box. This is simply unfinished software. Someone should use an AI to finish it. As an AI product these issues are unacceptable because fixing them is trivial.

This is Simply not true, You do not need anything else to use the app LM Studio. Model is loaded and unloaded on your PC, if it unloads automatically its something on your PC.
Honestly great app
Genuinely useful. However i suggest polishing the existing features instead of speed running new ones. Specially the UI needs work

Great but
This app is probably one of the best so far but the fact that downloading models is behind a paywall is crazy. Like let me download and pick them manually from my files, especially when some of the “free models” are giving a 401 error. 😭

I wish there was a way to toggle thinking mode on and off for the models.
Useful in more ways than I’ve discovered.

I like this a lot. It’s got support for voice chat and everything. This is great for people who use LMStudio to self-host language models at home. LMStudio has been around for a while but this app is a pretty new expansion and it’s been really satisfying to play around with.

Neat idea. Doesn’t work for me.
I’ve tried everything I can think to get this to work. LM Link works fine between computers. Just cannot get this to work and am giving up, but it looks like it has helped others.

Best iPad App to Use with your Local LLMs
This is a great App to allow you to communicate with your local LLM. It works well with LmStudio and oMXL. But it has quite a few rough edges: a) many can be worked around b) many are getting fixed regularly by the developer who is very responsive if you post a bug / feature request (something I find very refreshing in the current App environment). and c) the free version is very featured so you can try it no risk.

There are not many apps that work for this version of iOS (seems to be less by the day,) but this developer cares. Thank you for taking the time to support this old iOS version
Fantastic app does everything I need
One of the best designed apps I’ve used. Works great with lm studio, shows all my models and loads them fine. Instant chat with my local server. Other apps I’ve used have been clunky in comparison, this app just makes it easy. Recommend it, worth it for the pro subscription also.

Excellent! Remote connect is impressive.
The QR setup is the killer feature. Excellent for fast setup and getting up to speed without fiddling with server settings for model testing on the go. Kokoro speech is an excellent addition as well. Recommend adding cloud speech api as well (grok’s new tts is amazing and cheap).

well coded app
its my goto app for connecting to my local lms server. the app delivers what it should and its only possible because its kept “simple” which i know anyone doing local ai appreciates. its pleasing interface, good navigation and all the settings that are needed in the obvious places. my only pet peeve is that memory management is a pro feature. i understand the dev’s needs to make this an advanced/paid feature which limits the usage of of “why” one would use a locally hosted lm studio. for simple general use this app is a no brainer

The best app of its kind!
I’ve tried a lot of apps to remotely control private LLMs hosted on my home server, and it’s been a cumbersome experience until recently encountering LM Mini! I’m an LM studio user, so it’s a perfect fit for me.
I appreciate the UI polish and usability of this app in addition to all of the features it offers. It’s clear that the developer put quite a bit of time and attention into it, and this is a project that’s well-worth supporting and following.
