No subscription history

I hate how almost every app is a subscription these days. Seeing this app with no subscription and myself with a love of history it was a no brainer. It seems to pull all of its data from Wikipedia, but seeing it pictorially on a map, cracking idea. So let’s support the developer! Thanks for no subscription!

Best App Ever!

I’ve been obsessed with History since I was a young lad and am forever buying books of places we visit, which often get skim read and then sit and gather dust. As an English Hertiage and National Trust Member, this app is going to be a game changer for me. Love it!

Really fun. Highly recommend!

Really interesting to learn more about the local area. I didn’t realise the places I pass every day have so much history. It’s also really fun to look at other places around the world. A definite download for those who love history and want to learn more!

It brings one’s location to life!

Love this app! It brings one’s location to life and I especially appreciate being able to select the topics I’m most interested in. I’m learning all sorts of things I didn’t previously know about the little town I live in and there are new discoveries to be made everywhere I go now!

Brilliant, informative app!

Such a great app which provides a fantastic insight into times gone by. I’ve loved using the search function to look up areas of significance to me but also just the local areas that I travel through. The filters are great too for enabling you to search via interests. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, especially for history lovers!

Fascinating and worth it!

This is a brilliant idea and a fascinating app. I admit I was sceptical about paying but having bitten the bullet I can confirm that it is well worth the small download fee for what I’ve already learnt about. Smooth app, easy to use and genuinely interesting. Highly recommended!

Really interesting!

i love exploring so being able to use locopast for when i go to new cities is really fun and enjoyable. it also makes me look interesting in front of my girlfriend. maybe that's a hidden date hack.
