2 stars for nostalgia, but unbelievably frustrating gameplay because the thumb control is far to wonky for accurate movement. Swipe right and the Runner goes left into the hole you just dug.
Not for iPhone users
The controls are nearly impossible to control since there is no sense of where your thumb is on the screen, but even still, since I was willing to die a thousand times, I was able to complete all but level 64. Watching videos on how to solve it requires being able to move while falling from one side of the puzzle to the other, but these controls do not allow for that. For the most part I was able to relive earlier days, but the frustration level was too high to give it five stars.

Great family game! Request to add keyboard support
Great game to play as family. Request to add keyboard support and play it full screen… to play as I and many of us played on Apple II … playing it with Apple II keyboard. Also, I enjoy the soundtrack… reminds me of 80s.

App crashes after completing a level
Love this game, but now the app crashes after each level and doesn’t save the fact that the level has been completed.

バージョン1.9.4で非常に操作性が悪くなりました。穴を掘ろうとすると、ワンテンポ遅れます。このままでは遊べません。
ただ、タイムアタックモードでは、なんとか遊べることが解りました。
クリアした途端に落ちることも有りません。

最新のアップデート後に起動したら、クリアするとアプリが落ちるようになったので、改善をお願いします。

Leider lassen die Entwickler keine Anstalten erkennen die üble Steuerung mal zeitgemäß upzudaten.

Classic game from the 80’s…. If playing on iPhone expect to invent new cuss words.
懐かしく、良いゲーム
タップだとプレイし難いので、MFi認証のコントローラー(ROTOR RIOTのRR1852)を購入したが、このロードランナーは対応して無かった。

Directional control not very good
Hard to move the little guy around accurately and end up dying a lot because can move the guy some times. It does play exactly how I remember with all the loopholes the chasers had with the original. If the directional controller was better this would be awesome!!! Mildly disappointed as I’ve been looking for this game for years. Played it all the time as a kid. Bummer this isn’t working very well for me.

Knifflig, spannend, nostalgisch
Ich habe damals LodeRunner noch auf dem ersten Apple Macintosh gespielt und bin begeistert von dieser Umsetzung. Auf aktuellen iPhones ist auch die Steuerung nach ein bisschen Eingewöhnung problemlos.

I saw several complaints about the controls in some of the reviews but they aren’t a problem for me! And I’m using an iPhone SE with a really small screen. Which is just to say, hours of nostalgic good times are on their way!
Better than the original
This was the best game I ever played on the iPhone. There are no ads, no in app purchases, and you are given unlimited lives to complete all levels. I never completed all the levels on my Commodore 64 back in 1984, but was able to in this game. Controls were hard at first, but I got used to them in time. We’ll worth the $2.99 I spent.

Finished the game. While touch controls are not optimal for a game like this I only really had issues with it on one of the last levels.
