Poor Experience
Portrait orientation only, first tip-off of a cheap or amateurish design. App appears to be merely a wrapper for the bank’s former website. Transactions on the old website were downloadable for use in spreadsheets, but now the statements in this app are just images of the bank’s paper-and-ink monthly printouts — useless as digital input — and the website is no longer accessible through a browser. No iPad version, just a blowup of the iPhone display. Opening screen is static; no links and no progress indicator, not even a gear wheel. The app times out on a high-latency connection (satellite) but gives the user no indication of failure, so the static splash screen just stays up forever. This is a badly designed and poorly coded app.
