The widget is here. Their local time, your last tap and the days until you are together, right on your home screen — and behind it, your latest photo moment. Add a second widget and choose who it shows: your partner on one, your best friend on the other, each with their own clock and their own countdown. Together+ adds a wider one that puts both your times side by side, so the distance is right there at a glance. Photos are kept on your phone now, so they open the moment you tap in. And the picture you choose for your profile stays yours. Counting down with you.

Internal server errors

I love the idea of this for my bestie and me, and I love the no-frills or bells and whistles approach. Tap a thing and the companion app’s widget lights up. But, we tried it and kept getting errors. If only it worked…

The errors weren't anything you did: a bug on our side broke pairing when you and your bestie both tapped each other's invite links, and the app wrongly showed it as a server error. That's fixed as of version 1.1.2, along with photos and audio postcards not loading and iOS notifications not arriving.
